Why is it called salt water taffy if it isn't even salty? I've read about it on the net about some kind of an anecdote about the name, but still... One would expect it to be salty, no?
We don't have those things here (or we do, but there is no word of salt), so that might be confusing...
Or do they make ones that are actually salty? Tell me please...

My gran used to bring this over from America when I was a kid, I've never found anything similar to it here in the UK. I love the stuff... Send me some someone.

Some myth that the guy's shop who made it got flooded and pretty much ruined his taffy candy so, some girl came in to buy taffy and as a joke he said he only had salt water taffy.
Anywho I love the stuff, I buy it everynow and then, noms to chew on for a little bit.
Newty where ya live? I might be able to send some out sometime. Customs are a pain in the dick though
