Thankfully the game has VAC security. Not the best, but at least it's something. I've never played many of these games, but I figured for $10, it was worth checking out and something I could play in short spans at work during lunch and shit.

If you preorder now you will get the DLC for free when it comes. Hopefully soon.
I also played the heck out of it on Xbox and i loved it. Never played Magic before.

I was under the impression that the 1st DLC will be include *at release* and that the second will come shortly (along with the third whenever it's released.) I could be wrong on that though.

Yea, I thought the same thing. Is that not the case?

Yeah, I pre-ordered it too. Sounds like a lot of fun. Out later today.
Epsilon: Game is great btw, I love it, so far it's a definite goty. It's remarkable how much has changed since the beta, stardock have been working their asses off, and it shows.

I picked up Spectromancer recently, too. That's a halfway decent card game (even though it looks like shit).
Epsilon: Game is great btw, I love it, so far it's a definite goty. It's remarkable how much has changed since the beta, stardock have been working their asses off, and it shows.

You guys should try Magic Work Station, its free and has all the magic cards in it, from alpha to the latest set.
If you dont care about having the pictures its like a 5MB download, with the pictures its like 4 GB.
The rules arent forced tho. Its the most realistic representation of playing actual magic.

It's not the first time I read about MWS, I finally decided to try it out; I installed the client and I am now waiting for the torrents to finish. Last time I played the card game I was about 12 or 13 and the fifth edition had just come out, gonna be fun!

Steam also hasn't given me the DLC even though it's available. Time to fire them an email I guess.
edit: turns out they did but it just doesn't show in the store as purchased. If you right click the game and click view downloadable content it will show you as already having it. Gives you a couple of extra decks and another opponent I guess.
My main major beef with this game is there not being a setting to tap your own fucking mana. The lack of deck construction I can deal with but, hell, when you are playing with a multicolored deck you HAVE to have the ability to tap your own mana. Because the fucking computer always picks the wrong ones and you end up not being able to use your cards. What a pain in the ass.

That looks awesome! Was a fan of the original Magic cards (physical). Duel of the planeswalkers can't touch that but maybe this can! Cheers.

I installed the skidrow version, but there is a tiny thingie that bugs me.
Can i somehow change the player name ? :lol
I tried using rev loader & rev.ini but can't start it with it.

They're talking about the Magic Workstation, not the new MTG game. MWS is only a method to play the game online with friends. No rules enforcement, no AI. It's basically a chatroom with playing cards.

Well I've always sucked at Magic anyway. But still couldn't stop playing. Unlocked the main campaign decks and I've been playing with a friend. I like the White, unless facing White as you can see, not the Artifact Blue, and Black decks. Good times.

So I ended up buying the game; does anyone know what the "convert cards in this deck to premium foil cards" option does in the edit deck screen? It just opens up the steam store index for me.
