That was kinda my point to begin with. If legions of people weren't saying that Saw is the best thing since sliced bread, I wouldn't be so ... you know ... upset with the whole situation. I even like the Toxic Avenger (and own originals of part I and IV on DVD) ... so it's not like I can't enjoy bad movies. Also among my favourites are Dead Alive (aka Braindead), Bad Taste, Evil Dead Trilogy, anything Romero ... so it's not like I'm not a fan of the genre!

I think one of the main reasons why people think Saw was so great was because it was better (I think) than most of the horror movies out today. Much better than the PG-13 "horror" crap and what me and my friend like to call them wuss fests that come out now.

I love horror movies. Probably the genre I like the most. Evil Dead Trilogy, Halloween, Nightmare on Elm Street, Dawn of the Dead, etc. Love them all. Thanks for reminding me about Dead Alive. I have it burned lying around somewhere and I haven't watched it yet. I'll have to search for it.

1st. I could compare Alone In The Dark to Kill Bill, I think it would be a stupid thing tho cause Kill bill is worse then this uwe boll crap by 25 times.

2nd. If you say MDB's story blew can you please tell me if Kill Bill's story was better. I can write the whole Kill BIll plot in one word. Revenge ? Smile

3rd. Aviator sux.

4th. If you think my taste sucks, I'm happy as long as you are Smile Whatever flows your boat my Canadian friend.

About Hitman: Movie (2007)
Vin Diesel is a hardcore gamer, and absolutely loves the Hitman series. For that reason I have faith that he wont destroy the movie.

Response: Well, Uwe Boll probably loved the Alone in the Dark games.

1. Rolling Eyes
2. :/ revenge :/ Laughing Laughing Rolling Eyes
As you said you watch movies to be entertained Neutral

kill bill isn't a drama
mdb is

kill bill is visually stunning :/ the dialogue is the typical tarantino dialogue and it's amazing Smile fluent Smile the direction and acting are above average and editing of it all is simply fantastic. Cinematography is also wonderful.

It was a good movie not great and not the best but a good average movie!

3. But of course it did... according to you saw was a good movie so it's kind of hard taking your word on which movie is good and which movie is bad

4. Finally... thank you!

-Taste means you like certain movies more than others. Knowledge lets you differentiate a good movie from a bad movie. You might hate mullholland drive but it doesn't mean it's a bad movie.-

Its cool cause you think kill bill was ownage I think it was pointless, scriptless piece of violence shit, but heck, if you say its good it doesnt make this movie good, if i say its terrible it doesnt make the movie terrible, thats why there is a thing called "tastes". You know some people liked "Crossroads"...

Since you liked Mullholland Drive can you explain me/us what this story was about ? Like wtf was going on ?!

Saw was over hyped. Some said it was going to be like Se7en. The trailers had me interested enough to go see this film in the theater and it was a huge disappointment. Even the ending was lame. OK, it wasn't expected but it was nothing revolutionary. Not to mention the acting was laughable.

I was looking forward to Saw in the very first place as well. I've seen Saw three times now (theatre, dvd, unrated UK dvd). All three times I was disapointed. In the theatre, I realized it sucked. On DVD, I realized that dumbfucks laughing in the audience and seeing it at a crappy theatre didn't actually affect the suckiness of the movie when I originally saw it. I watched the uncut UK edition, hoping that a little more gore would help the movie out. I'd watch some seriously bad movies for good gore. But nope, the added footage barely added any gore. More intestine sifting ... but still no dismemberment shot when Elwes cut his leg off. How the fuck can you call a movie 'Saw' with no dismemberment scene? Huh? Sad

Yes. I can agree with that. Saw is better than: Boogieman, Alone in the Dark, Cursed, Hide and Seek, and Darkness Falls. Although, I haven't seen any of these four shit fests, I'm confident in their suckiness.

Although Saw was not better than other recent horror flicks like Shaun of the Dead, Dawn of the Dead, 28 days later .. hmm ... that's all I can come up with. Maybe if there were zombies in Saw I would have liked it more. I love those damn zombies!

You kill me. Eternal Sunshine sucked? Perhaps you didn't like it because of all that romantic type girly cootie crap in it? No good explosions. That must be it.

And Alone in the Dark is better than Kill Bill? You must be high. If you like Tarantino or not ... Kill Bill was a well made movie. Great photography and editing (probably lost on you since MTV music video style crap seems to be your thing), great musical score, no crappy CGI, and violence up the wazoo. So please, pull your head out of your ass.

Heh there's five there not four. I've seen Hide and Seek. It was ok. Not the worst out there. Saw was better than it.

I agree. Shaun of the Dead, Dawn of the dead, and 28 Days Later were better than Saw. I loved Shaun of the Dead. My favorite movie of the year (I said MDB was the best but wasn't my favorite).

Yup, Cursed made in in after I had the other four already. I didn't realize that it was PG13 (although it was originally R, but got cut so idiot kiddies could see it.

Shaun of the Dead was great. A very original take on the zombie genre.

I haven't seen Alone in the Dark and im not intending to (Dr. Boll is the main reason) but I don't see how any movie can be worse then our dear psychopath friend's (Tarantino's) Kill Bill.
Eternal was a piece of crap, I could write a script like that at 4am in the morning and shoot a moive like that in 24 hours. <- that means i can shoot "saw" in 12 hours. Neutral

There was someone comparing Shaun of the Dead with Saw.
Well comparing those 2 is like comparing American Pie to A House Of 1000 Corpses. There is one simularity tho... They both SUCK!

Shaun of the Dead is SUPERB! Smile

You could write the script at 4 am in the morning? It won:

Oscar for Best Writing, Screenplay Written Directly for the Screen
Writers Guild of America Best Screenplay Written Directly for the Screen
National Board of Review (USA) award for best screenplay
British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) award for best original screenplay
Toronto, Southeastern, Seattle, Phoenix, Online, Nevada, Kansas City, Las Vegas and London Film Critics Society awards for Best Original Screenplay

as well as being nominated for best original screenplay at Golden Globes and Broadcast Film Critics Association Awards.

So if you could write this at 4 in the morning, you should change careers.

Griffon, I had a look at your dvd collection (the one linked in your sig) ... if you hate the writing of Eternal Sunshine (Charlie Kaufman) so much... why do you have other stuff by him (Adaptation and Being John Malkovich as well as Eternal Sunshine on dvd?

BTW, I wouldn't admit owning:

13 Going On 30 - Special Edition (2004)
40 Days and 40 Nights (2002)
Adventures of Pluto Nash, The (2002)
Agent Cody Banks - Special Edition (2003)
America's Sweethearts (2001)
Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever (2002)
Banger Sisters, The (2002)
Bedazzled - Special Edition (2000)
Big Fat Liar (2002)
Black Knight (2001)
Blue Crush (1998)
Boat Trip - The Unrated Version (2002)
Charlie's Angels (2000) and Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle (2003)
Clockstoppers (2002)
Corky Romano (2001)
Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles (2001)
Daddy Day Care - Special Edition (2003)
Darkness Falls - Special Edition (2003)
Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights (2004)
Dreamcatcher (2003)
Dungeons & Dragons - New Line Platinum Series (2000)
Enough - Special Edition (2002)
Freaky Friday (2003)
Garfield: The Movie (2004)
Godsend (2004)
Good Boy! - Collector's Edition (2003)
Heartbreakers - Special Edition (2001)
In-Laws, The (2003)
Joe Somebody (2001)
Just Visiting (2001)
Juwanna Mann (2002)
Kangaroo Jack (2003)
Kung Pow: Enter the Fist (2002)
Looney Tunes: Back in Action (Full Screen) (2003)
Master of Disguise, The (Full Screen) (2002)
Max Keeble's Big Move (Full Screen) (2001)
Miss Congeniality (2000)
Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement, The (2004)
Rollerball - Special Edition (Extended R-Rated Version) (2001)

But you do have CB4, which might make up for all these questionable choices.

I have about 95% of the same movies you do. Actually, the only ones you have that I don't are 24, Die Another Day, Road to Perdition, Untouchables, and Identity. Although I have like ~40 originals, most of mine ~300 are burned copies.

I don't have one of those fancy dvd affectionado things ... but here's my collection:

And yea, replace buy with donwload. Lets say each dvd cost 10 bucks. 730x10 = 7300, no, i wouldnt waste so much on dvds Smile
But heck I bought a lot of them! Smile
