Looks like shader detail has come down, textures look quite a bit grainier and they introduced heavier overall post-processing to mask it. So here we have first true sign of an upcoming console game for PC.
Interview video, somewhat interesting quote as well about the console people and marketing decisions.

(Rather obvious they've been showing the console version so far but it's hard to say how the PC edition will manage, DX11 support is confirmed and more details is planned for it after E3 including other PC specific info but if they push the requirements similarly over the top as what happened in the first game it'll be pretty to look at but a bit difficult to run under the next two-three hardware generations with everything on.)
gonna be a great shooter thats for sure. i loved crysis . warhead also.
but
those graphics are like meh. i mean threy good but they could have shown us this stuff back in 07. the consoles are keeping us in the past i guess.

Well, crysis is still the best looking game after all this time so I'm fine with crysis 2 not looking MUCH better than the first game. If it runs much better and looks slightly better then it's all great.
They're probably also showing mostly console footage right now. I'm pretty sure they said that the PC version will look better on high settings.
Likot Mosuskekim, Woodcutter cancels Sleep: Interrupted by Elephant.
Notice how every single feature of what is shown here was already in the first game, yet now they call it "Next-gen ready", and what is shown on consoles is pathetic pathetic pathetic (nothing we haven't seen in UE3 for example).
Lets hear it again from Cevait O Rly? Yerli how the decision to make this a city shooter is not based on going to the consoles.
Just another textbook example of the sort of vain, conceited, ignorant, and stupid PC snob!!11111 To deny the importance and greatness of console gaming proves that you fail!!!!!1
What CryTek have done in Crysis could NEVER have been done the PC. The PC just doesn't have enough innovation! CryTek's new vision of Crysis 3 brings innovation and GREATNESS to the console master race!!!

i just love the PC vs Console Physics videos of Crysis 2
on PC : car blows up into pieces with smoke and fire damage all around
on console : first the car vanishes then it blows up then you see smoke then car pieces are thrown in the air (all this with a 1 second pause)
It's not trolling mate, its stating the sad cruel facts.
Did you actually take a look at the video? They are even ashamed to call the outside parts "PC", the call them "next-gen" ready.
I want to see what kind of hardware "next-gen" consoles will have to support Crysis "next-gen ready" graphics (aka Crysis 1 graphics) at 1080p, when even a fucking nuclear pland GTX480 can't have a steady 60 at that resolution.
and they whole marketing campaign is for the Console version is so funny "see on pc 360 and PS3 it looks the same" *showing 3 small screens in 320x640 resolution*

Its like it always has been, devs will customize their engine to run optimized with best quality at the lower hardware of the console, while they say to pc gamers: "FU GO BUY NEW HARDWARE FOR 1000EURO AND THEN U GET 10MORE FPS!"

I for one don't give a crap about all this pc vs console bickering.
I just hope the gameplay is as good as Crysis 1's first two halves was. When the Aliens shoved up it turned into run a of the mill scripted fps. I loved the openness of the games first parts.
Gotta admit, I'm finally intrigued after watching that video. Seems to be Crysis meets F.E.A.R. (not the AI or slowmo of FEAR but the corridors and rooftops....
lol..only one stealth kill..then run n gun super intelligent AI .
This is an epic example, of why cover shooters are as popular as they are. See the guy try and move and shoot at the same time? Pathetic at best. So in order to compensate, and make couchbox players feel somewhat successful, they invented idiot AI and covers, so they can take a hundred hours with their shot.
Pathetic, where shooter gaming is going.
All in all, back to topic, sorry for the rant. Crysis 2 looks like a typical shooter, solid in most cases, nothing new though.
And I haven't see anything yet, that can't be done with the Unreal engine ... at better speed.
God mode is always a part of games' presentations.
And i can bet on it, that they use god mode when actually creating game, look at the PoP (the one before this last one, a shaded one xD), they forgot to turn it off, thats why u cant die
