send it to MS, but the more important thing for your brother would be to go to his bank ASAP and reverse the transfer

report the whole thing to the police and/or MS, then try the bank again. if you have it on paper that this is about a scam, banks are sometimes much more cooperative when it comes to reversing a transfer Wink

Is it legal to buy just a Key ?

I suspect it would be an OEM key and not a full key even if legal.

I do believe you are correct...
I bought the Original Vista and what a fucking dope I was... Sad

I installed MY original on his computer... Then wrote in his Key BUT I also Googled half the key just to see on the Internet, and it was every where...Damn I knew it was a scam...

Anyway, I couldnt get the Key to work no matter what I did so I emailed that "company" about the Key AND Microsoft...

Microsoft replied "The key is on the side of the box"... WTF ??? Totally useless info...
The scammers sent a program that patched Windows so it ran with that Key they sent and it patched Windows so it ran Legit...

I was kinda confused because Microsoft doesnt Email Software to run to fix a Key...

Anyway, his money is gone... The price was the same price as a Legit copy...

I cannot fully wrap my head around this. Your brother bought a key from a shady source when he could have just bought a legit copy for the same price? ..

Yeaaahh that has to be the more annoying family BS that can happen: buying utter crap out of "spite" with the knowledge that someone in the local family could have give you a 10,000% better product. Sorry for the hyjack -- this just always irks me.
