Whats up with this stuttering?
I get them pretty often, crazy stutters lasting for a second or so.

I'm using the crackfix, but dint block anything in a firewall as mentioned in the Nfo, could this be the problem?

It's driving me crazy, really. Crying or Very sad

First of all: I really like this game.
Second of all: Those "boss battles" are fucking annoying. Half the time I'm hitting then but the game decides that they take no damage from anything I throw at them. Really, really pisses me off.

Yes I did but that's not it. If I stand not 5 feet away from him blasting him with my assault rifle and there is absolutely no change in his health (his endurance/armor/ watchamacallit is already gone) I feel kinda fucked over by the game :/

So does it matter how you choose to complete a mission? I mean if you go in and facerape everyone, guns blazing, does that affect the progression of the story as opposed to say, being stealthy and never being seen/never triggering any alarms? Or is it mostly the decisions you make like who to kill/not kill, and stuff like that?

Well, you will lose reputation with some people if you are a gun nut, and you also get bonuses if you don't kill anyone in some missions (just disable them with "E"), so yes.

Finished the second time (veteran run(. Way easier with all those extra poitns in skills (recruit could only complete a couple, veteran had all non weapon skills and my weapon of choice - pistol, maxed)

With veteran run, the only talking difference I saw was on Moscow that I could get the files and save the ally with the veteran response instead of having to choose one (except the bad BS talk in the tutorial).

Pistol is the best weapon, imo.... chain shot, 6 headshots on a boss (or in all targets on screen), brilliance, repeat if needed.

FIX FOR SHUTTERING from OBSIDIAN FORUM:
in APEngine.ini ( C:\Users\<yourname>\Documents\Alpha Protocol\APGame\Config)
change this values to this:
UseBackgroundLevelStreaming=false
OnlyStreamInTextures=true
OneFrameThreadLag=False
for me this solved all shuttering problems

It works, but at least for me fucked up my game, like bosses not spawning if u reload checkpoint, or game freezing in loading screen etc, so i go back to the way it was.

try change only some of them and find best performance
or try set lower MaxSmoothedFrameRate to 30 or 20 in same file if you have older computer

Just finished the game and it's a shame it's as unpolished and buggy as it is. I mean the concept is great but the execution is far from great. So many bugs, glitches, awful AI, camera which takes away a lot of the pleasure. I can't remember the last time I raged as hard as I did at times playing Alpha protocol, some things are just extremely stupid...

Hopefully this game will get patched a lot in the future then maybe we might even see a sequel / expansion

What do you mean? The silencer was the first thing I bought. In fact there are 3 types of silencers for pistols (upgraded versions with better stats) and subsonic rounds for assault rifles for the same effect.

Really? On the first mission in Saudi Arabia, when I was in the safe house I bought some stuff before going on a mission, but I couldn't buy a silencer for my pistol. Where is it?

I bought it before the mission in the safe house. It's odd that you don't have it.
I think Darcy said he will open some more exclusive stock for you in an email. May be you need to be in good standing with him after the training to get access to more weapons/gadgets?

Personally, I was always gutted there are no silencers for the AR Laughing Had to rely on extremely expensive and extremely limited SubSonic rounds.

Another question. Does the hacking mini game get easier if you put more xp points into your hacking skills?

I'm asking because right now (beginning of game) it's not really fun Imho, and that is coming from someone who normally likes challenging puzzles.

You get more time and the code segments you need to find are longer, making them easier to see.

A flashbang silencer would be nice as well...

As for hacking, there are upgrades for the suit, that make it easier, and certain skills in one of the skill trees make it easier as well (there is a couple in technical aptitude I think). Plus, you can always use the EMP charges if all else fails, it's useful to have a couple on you for every mission.

The Sabotage Skill increases both the overall time aswell as the time for the codeparts to shift position.

Shame how the shottie doesn't have any SubSonic rounds either :\ Still, I guess if you're packing a freakin' SHOTGUN then stealth isn't going to be your #1 concern ^_^
