Choices I made through the game
Spoiler: | Saudi Arabia:
-Let Nasri the weapons dealer live.
-Killed the Sheik in the end.
Moscow:
-Met up with SIE, she didn't like my personality. Never heard from her again aside from the odd e-mail.
-Befriended Grigori.
-Spared Sis's life, befriended Albatross and the G22.
-Spared Surkov's life.
-Killed Brayko.
Taipei:
-Befriended Steven Heck quickly. Met with Hong Shi though he didn't like me much.
-Brought Heck along for a mission where I wanted to be stealthy, not a good idea, haha.
-Befriended Scarlet (though I sent all secret info to the info dealers for cash)
-Removed bug from G22 database at Albatross' request
-Took the files on the riot.
-Killed Omen Deng at the end.
-President died.
Rome:
-Was defiant to Marburg (some of the best conversations in the game)
-Was friendly to Maddison
-Ended up saving Maddison at the museum, she ended up pissed off that I sacrificed so many lives to save her. Never heard from her again.
-Had shoot-out with Marburg at the museum, pissed him off during the last conversation so that he attacked me again. Killed him.
Endgame:
-Sexed up Mina, told her to wait at another safehouse
-Leland offered to join Halbech, refused offer
-Scarlet revealed to be assassin of President. Sent her away after saving her and never saw her again (she got pissed beforehand because I was evasive when she asked me what my role in everything was)
-Didn't find Mina during the last mission (stupid of me)
-Steven Heck was there as an ally for the mission
-Had to kill Parker though I tried to persuade him
-Never saw Yance again
-Ended up shooting Leland through the eye at the end
-Rode away on the boat with Steven Heck, haha
I loved all the choices and that but I don't think they quite succeeded on the actual ending. It felt like it was over fairly quick despite the many threads in the game.

New bug maybe.
I just started thje Saudi mission. I took out 2 guards, one at start and one in tower on left.
Got spotted, so I purposely died. On restart from checkpoint, first guard is there but there are NO guards in the area outside the gate. There was 1 in the far tower and one walking by the trucks.
I have free rein to go in buildings and up to rooftops.
The skidrow crackfix seems to have fixed stutters and qucik camera refocus but anyone else have this missing/disappearing guard bug?

Yeah, the guards disappear in certain areas if you reload. Although it happened only in that Saudi mission so far for me.

No, i'm just damn good
Seriously, i did everything there was to do in the game, every mission and bonus objective, even replied to all the emails etc, except for one in saudi arabia, because i didn't know that if i did the "alpha" marked mission i would be taken out of the area and wouldn't be able to come back.
I used a combination of health + pistols, so i had the conviction mark and execute skill and a fuckload of heath to bumrush enemies with.
When i first started the game, i wanted to play as a stealth op with only a silenced pistol, but after about the second mission in saudi arabia i realised that the stealth option is simply not viable for the following reasons:
1. Inconsistent AI that can see you through rocks at points, but fails to see you when climbing up or down a ladder, right in front of him.
2. Once an alarm was sounded because someone saw you, everyone instinctively knows your position on the map like they're freaking wall hacking.
3. Lack of places to actually hide in.
I did plenty of exploration and collected most of the stuff within the levels, i still think a level is linear even if offers me several "locked" rooms to hack into to get more attachments.
PS. Hacking.. When i got to the 10 switch hacks, i was cursing out loud through the house cause the game lags when the hacking minigame starts, but the time is counted.

Here are the choices I can remember;
Spoiler: | Saudi Arabia:
-Blackmailed Nasari. Took his money. Let him live. Never saw him again.
-Let the Sheik live.
Moscow:
-Met up with SIE, amused her, cooperated for the rest of the Moscow missions. Never saw her again for the rest of the game.
-Befriended Grigori.
-Spared Sis's life, befriended Albatross and the G22.
-Used dossier information to learn more about SIS, sided with her over Albatross.
-Killed Chamionchik
-Spared Surkov's life.
-Spared Brayko's life.
Taipei:
-Went to visit Hong Shi first. Befriended him and took on side-missions to help his cause. Found out about his deliberate dealings with Haltech, but kept them to myself.
-Befriended Heck, played up to his paranoia.
-Befriended Scarlet (spent the rest of the game sending her all the secret info for her to publish)
-Removed bug from G22 database at Albatross' request.
-Took the files on the Assassination. Tried to convince Sung, but he wouldn't listen.
-Sided with Omen Deng. President Sung survived. Riots happened.
Rome:
-Was respectful to Marburg.
-Was friendly to Madison.
-Sexed up Madison.
-Chose to disarm the bombs. Madison was shot and killed by Marburg.
-Had shoot-out with Marburg at the museum, cowardly fuck ran away after losing half his health.
Endgame:
-Sexed up Scarlett.
-Sexed up Mina, asked her to return to Alpha Protocol to help from the inside.
-Received help from Heck, G22 and Shaheed.
-Shaheed asked me to betray my country. I initially accepted, but never sent him the data like I was asked.
-Chose G22/Albatross to be my handler.
-Leland offered to join Halbech, accepted offer.
-Marburg came back. Convinced him to leave Halbech *and* Alpha Protocol.
-SIS helped me escape from the medical bay.
-Scarlet revealed to be assassin of President. Before she had chance to explain herself, I shot her in the face.
-Mina turned out to be the traitor who gave me up at the start of the game. Let her live. Never saw her again.
-Killed Parker in a pitched battle.
-Attacked Yancey in another pitched battle. Spared his life for the authorities to find.
-Agreed to follow Leland as Head of Security.
-Escaped on the boat with Leland, both of us buddily smoking stogies

It was an aproximation. I started yesterday at about 8PM, didn't want to think that i actually played more than 8h...
I can check to see if the game time is recorded somewhere in the stats.

Just started the game. On windows 7 x64 I'm plagued by a few but regular freezes (sometimes it freezes for up to 10secs before continuing) and the whole conversations are ASYNC.
Now I tried it on XP and tada - all the bugs are gone.
I prefer Win7 so much over XP, but the numerous problems with games always make me go back to XP.

Ya well any true gamer knows to stick with XP it is tried and tested, unless you want to play Just cause 2 D:
Facts & figures on obesity: Obesity is one the major health challenges worldwide and has become an epidemic over the last decades. Europe has the highest number of overweight and obese people in the world. The number of obese people has in fact tripled over the last 20 years in the Europe, according to the WHO. Today, over 130 million people are obese in Europe; approximately 10%-20% of men and 15%-25% of women. In addition, 400 million people are overweight in Europe.

No, actually true gamers know to play well written games, instead of buggy pieces of shit and blame it on the OS.

Maybe the freezes will go away if you disable them streaming parameters in INI files.

The fact that there has to be a compatibility list for games on windows 7 proves it.
http://www.thinktechno.com/2009/08/29/list-of-windows-7-compatible-games/
And you can just google windows 7 and gaming to find every link asking about compatibility and game issues.

XP also has compatilibity issues:
http://freepctech.com/pc/xp/xp00197.shtml
Quote: | Some less-sophisticated programs may not run as smoothly, and we found that some older applications, such as the Atari 2600 Classic Game Collection, did not appreciate the Windows XP environment. In this case you can use the Application Compatibility Wizard, found in the accessories menu. XP includes integrated compatibility layers to mimic older versions of Windows, so if your program does not work in Windows XP, the compatibility wizard will walk you through the process of getting even your favorite DOS games up and running. In this case, we ran the Atari Classic Game Collection in the Windows 95 environment, at 256 colors and 640x480 screen resolution. Then we set XP to always run our Atari application in this environment, and everything was smooth sailing after that. |
OH NOOOOOOOO!!!!! Lets go back to 98 where EVERYTHING works!!!!!11111111111111

I think the fact that the guy just posted about 5 posts ago that the game was buggy in W7 and when he switched to XP it ran fine proves my point, and the fact that most people still use XP also proves the fact. Enjoy your denial.
