Can't believe i put up with 8 hours of this shit and finished the game.

So let me get this straight; you LEGGED IT through game in record time, doing absolutely nothing outside of running'n'gunning to the end of each area, then running off the next one without a single bit of exploration or strategy .. then have the absolute bare-faced cheek to come on here and whine about linearity?

That's like me complaining that GRiD is the worst racing game ever and has absolutely no replayability because I only ever drive one single car and race the one single track. Which happens to be an oval. In reverse.

lol wut

8hrs. Nice try mate <3

New bug maybe.

I just started thje Saudi mission. I took out 2 guards, one at start and one in tower on left.
Got spotted, so I purposely died. On restart from checkpoint, first guard is there but there are NO guards in the area outside the gate. There was 1 in the far tower and one walking by the trucks.
I have free rein to go in buildings and up to rooftops.

The skidrow crackfix seems to have fixed stutters and qucik camera refocus but anyone else have this missing/disappearing guard bug?

Yeah, the guards disappear in certain areas if you reload. Although it happened only in that Saudi mission so far for me.

No, i'm just damn good

Seriously, i did everything there was to do in the game, every mission and bonus objective, even replied to all the emails etc, except for one in saudi arabia, because i didn't know that if i did the "alpha" marked mission i would be taken out of the area and wouldn't be able to come back.

I used a combination of health + pistols, so i had the conviction mark and execute skill and a fuckload of heath to bumrush enemies with.

When i first started the game, i wanted to play as a stealth op with only a silenced pistol, but after about the second mission in saudi arabia i realised that the stealth option is simply not viable for the following reasons:

1. Inconsistent AI that can see you through rocks at points, but fails to see you when climbing up or down a ladder, right in front of him.
2. Once an alarm was sounded because someone saw you, everyone instinctively knows your position on the map like they're freaking wall hacking.
3. Lack of places to actually hide in.

I did plenty of exploration and collected most of the stuff within the levels, i still think a level is linear even if offers me several "locked" rooms to hack into to get more attachments.

PS. Hacking.. Neutral When i got to the 10 switch hacks, i was cursing out loud through the house cause the game lags when the hacking minigame starts, but the time is counted.

It was an aproximation. I started yesterday at about 8PM, didn't want to think that i actually played more than 8h...

I can check to see if the game time is recorded somewhere in the stats.

Just started the game. On windows 7 x64 I'm plagued by a few but regular freezes (sometimes it freezes for up to 10secs before continuing) and the whole conversations are ASYNC.
Now I tried it on XP and tada - all the bugs are gone.
I prefer Win7 so much over XP, but the numerous problems with games always make me go back to XP.

Wow you have played EVERY single game EVER on windows 7? damn you must have allot of time and allot of HD space. lol wut

And it has been proven that allot of games have Issues on Windows 7 new and old so saying that all games run fine for you is just bullshit you are simply lying or you are just lucky enough to only play games that don't have issues.

Yes I do and yes I do. I'm also aware you're being facetious and twisting what I said so that my statement encompasses games made for platforms other than Windows, which it didn't. As I said; troll less, think more sonny.

Oh oh, it's been "PROVEN" has it? Ok dickcheese, show me some of this proof Rolling Eyes Urgh, you know what? Don't bother. You're a tool who doesn't contribute a single thing to this, or any other, section. /ignored

The fact that there has to be a compatibility list for games on windows 7 proves it.

http://www.thinktechno.com/2009/08/29/list-of-windows-7-compatible-games/

And you can just google windows 7 and gaming to find every link asking about compatibility and game issues.

XP also has compatilibity issues:

http://freepctech.com/pc/xp/xp00197.shtml

Quote:
Some less-sophisticated programs may not run as smoothly, and we found that some older applications, such as the Atari 2600 Classic Game Collection, did not appreciate the Windows XP environment. In this case you can use the Application Compatibility Wizard, found in the accessories menu. XP includes integrated compatibility layers to mimic older versions of Windows, so if your program does not work in Windows XP, the compatibility wizard will walk you through the process of getting even your favorite DOS games up and running. In this case, we ran the Atari Classic Game Collection in the Windows 95 environment, at 256 colors and 640x480 screen resolution. Then we set XP to always run our Atari application in this environment, and everything was smooth sailing after that.

I think the fact that the guy just posted about 5 posts ago that the game was buggy in W7 and when he switched to XP it ran fine proves my point, and the fact that most people still use XP also proves the fact. Enjoy your denial.

Hey hey... don't knock DOS! I got some wicked-awesome memories of the DOS days Very Happy Tinkering with boot menus and config.sys/autoexec.bat, dealing with TSRs and .COMs that games needed, memory managers and loading DOS into HIMEM, always trying to eke out those last few KB of memory in order to get Dreamweb working from CD *with* sound and mouse drivers Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy
