thats what the crackfix "fixes", download the crackfix and those problems go away... |

My machine surpasses the recommended settings by a fair bit and I still got that stutter+camera problem when the game loaded a new section of the level. That is using CD-key from STEAM with the early release.
It's far from game-breaking or anything, but it can be a slight annoyance since it can really disorient you.
Finished the game earlier today, agree with much of what sabin said.

I've played Saudi Arabia and Moscow - really, really great so far. Playing the Jack Bauer archetype now, can't wait to finish and do another run with a smoothtalking James Bond type. A quick save/load system would be nice since some of the dialogue have some unexpected consequences, but then again this way there sure is motivation for a replay.
With the crackfix it's completely playable, apart from some minor glitches it's been very smooth so far. Will have to see if there's any difference to the retail version when I get my copy on monday.

I especially like how the entire ending plays out radically different depending on what you did in the game, who you sided with, who you killed, and even who you MET. Great stuff.

Even though I've changed decallifespan to 400, bodies disappear as soon as I look elsewhere. BTW save system is really annoying and 19h of gametime? I hoped for more from this game...

Damn, the couchbox version I checked at my friends actually ran better than it runs on my PC.
I am very delicate with mouse issues. I don't give a game a single shot, if the mouse doesn't feel like. This is why it took me three times to actually get in to ME, and ME handled ten times better, no kidding.
The stutter issue. It's because of loading from the HDD most of the times, but FPS wiggle also affects it. I tried tweaking everything in the .ini, and I couldn't solve it. The core problem of how the mouse input is handled is simply not fixable from the .ini files, and I am really ready to give up on this game.
I'm a huge Obsidian fan, they make great games, but this one feels like it hasn't been playtested on the PC at all. Very sloppy.
How hard is it to get something right, that has BEEN right for more than 15 years?

Spoiler: |
You can "romance";
Mina, SIE, Scarlett and Madison.
I got Mina, Scarlett and Madison in a single playthrough... but the opportunity for SIE never even came up

Spoiler: | I was getting along well with SIE - at the expense of Mina of course - but then I sacrificed her so I could get the information I needed faster. Jack Bauer doesn't fuck around, literally.
Shame Sis isn't possible to romance, she was kind of a hottie. Of course I killed her too, but... |

Holy crap, 4 women? That just shows how little can be uncovered by a single playthrough, I had no idea about SIE and Madison, I saw Sie only once and it was a short conversation. Madison seemed to be pissed at me all the time, damn. |

I'll be giving it another go if they patch it up, but not in this current state.
Major disappointment.

I finally got to try this game. I didn't mind outdated graphics, VO at least in the beginning isn't great either, camera and controls are bit meh but I could also live with it. But oh my god - computer hacking! My eyes still fucking hurt.
So I gotta ask, is there more computer hacking like that? If yes it's a game breaker and I won't be able to play it. I can't rate this game, I only got to spend first five attributes after that escape or something so I haven't gotten too far. Anyway game is bit meh so far, but it could improve, who knows. But sadly if there's more computer hacking with fucking matrix-like numbers all over the screen I won't be able to play it.
And did I mention those mini games (lock piking, hacking, computer hacking) are fucking nuts altogether? Even Mass Effect hacking was better that that, and I wasn't fond of that either. In Alpha Protocol's case I would not even call them mini games. More like mini-mega annoyances. They could for example make lockpicking more interesting if they had used method similar to that in Thief Deadly Shadows.
