I love games with classical music.
I played HAWX for like 15 minutes when it got out, I ctrl deleted it immediatly afterwards, the game wasn't that bad but I just didn't liked it, don't know why.

Yeah, this is completely different than Hawx. Can still be played with a pad, if this is how you play, and even then it is tons better.

Go to the dir you installed it in and delete the YuPlay folder (with YuPlay.exe file). Then put the crack again.

As soon as I launch, it loads up the Wings of Prey spash screen then crashes to desktop.
Reinstalling again....
Edit: works now.

I have an Xbox360 controller plugged in, and a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro joystick plugged in.
But whenever I select the Profile in Controls in the game, it maps the Xbox controller axis and the joystick doesn't work.
This isn't the first game it has happened in.
I'm using win7 and the joystick is set to controller ID 1.
Any solution apart from unplugging the xbox controller ?

As Leonatan said few post above, WoP has nothing to do with HAWX.
Wings of Prey is a WWII simulator with realistic physics and damage effects, while HAWX is an arcade with modern planes.  |

It is possible if you put it at Arcade settings. You can also use the mouse, I think, for more precise control. |

So how exactly do you use the mouse, I can only use it to move the camera even on Arcade settings? I have been playing it on keyboard only and it is pretty hard to shoot anything besides bombers down.
Also something I found rather silly is the rockets seem to be guided, I shot a rocket at a tank that was pretty damn far away and it seemed to go right for it, I did this a bunch of times I sniped probably 20 tanks from great distances with just the unguided rockets.
Some missions are impossible to beat like the British bomber mission where u have to shoot down German bombers with only 1 machine gun, I sat behind a bomber and fired into it for about 2 minutes I could see the rounds hitting it but It just never went down and I eventually ran out of time.
Another down side, unlike IL2 there is no custom mission where you can pick your plane and who you fight etc.
Still I wish these games would just enable some fucking mouse flight I don't see why they don't do that in the first place they could make allot more money and I doubt it would take much effort.

Also, there is custom mission of sorts, it is called training, where you can select an aircraft, a theater of operations, enemy aircraft type and number of enemies. But there is no mission builder, no. Apparently developer made their data structure impossible to work with ( ).
As for bombers, flying behind it and shooting is really not a good modus operandi  As you know, bombers defend their flanks with machine guns, so you'll be really shot to pieces. The ideal method is to approach from the side, where they are minimally defended. You can actually take down several bombers in one swoop.

I know that about fighting bombers, but in the mission I am talking about you your self are in a bomber as well so you only have a weak main gun I got into a spot where the rear guns couldn't hit me and just followed them firing away into their fuselage and engines I could see the flashes from impacts so I knew I was hitting him but it just refused to go down or even start smoking. Thanks for the mouse flight tip I will try it out hopefully it is easier than trying to snipe bf109s with my damn arrow keys.

Try shooting their wings, it helps.

Well when you are shooting them there is a camera in the bottom corner that goes onto the plane you are shooting, and I can see the bullets hitting the plane clear as day when I say there is no smoke I mean there is no smoke coming from the engines. I have realistic damage on so that is probably the issue.

I think I was better off with the keyboard flying with the mouse is very hard, the sensitivity is extremely low even on the highest settings I have to move my mouse across the desk just to pull up.

after applying all the patches on DVD 2 and starting the launcher to edit settings it says there is a newer patch available which i didnt execute of course. Did something go wrong during the update proces or did they really release a quick patch the past days to break the crack?

I have problem with configuring my x360 gamepad for this game. The layouts are messed up and when i try to map controls manually vertical axis don't work :/ I don't know what to do, can anybody help plz?

Go to "Devices" and select a layout there. The ones you want to look at are "Default (Gamepad)" and "Alternative". Personally, I use the "Alternative" layout for the 360 pad. You can then adjust the linearity and dead zones for each axis (6 axes in total - LX LY RX RY T)

When it tries to update, it replaces the files replaced by the crack. Reapply the crack after removing YuPlay. Crack works perfectly.

Like I said my layouts are messed up (ex. firing on left stick's horizontal axis or menu on left trigger)), probably because I'm using XBCD drivers, which aren't causing me much trouble in other games. I'm trying to configure them but I'm having a hard time and beign a noob in flight sims ain't helping...
