The SP-94 from Thermalright (i really like them, great quality) has it's own retention system, it's only a heatsink, but you do get bundles with a fan. Check it out:

What the heck? They were able to run an over clocked 2.4 Ghz at 2.8 Ghz with out a fan? Bloody hell good heat sink. I think I might put a fan just as a precaution as this PC will be 24/7 (HTPC)
