PLayed it for a bit thinking it was a re-make of MEGARACE but then the boring shit came , generic music , no back story , game gives you no motivation to play it , it has no mojo to keep you around like NFS Shift had , add bad coding and your tripping (on high it looks like a 360 game, on very high they use 4aa so badly it slows down your game to 20fps, the funny is when you force it on drivers and play on high this game is fluid 60fps  wow now thats bad coding)
mediocre game of bore and snore 5/10

arghhh, where is the option in Kaspersky to add file to exceptions so i can move it, copy it etc, it recognized the rld.dll as Trojan -.-, and cant copy it
Edit: found it, need to add it 3 times to except. -.-

multiplayer matchmaking is so broken.. half of the time it wont find anything.. so ur forced to cancel and restart , over and over again, and hopefully one time it puts you into game with ppl, sitting alone waiting never works..
and there is that shit where game gets stuck on launching multipalyer game, and gets back to 5s countdown..

This game has horrible graphics, Burnout Paradise which is 2 years younger, has better graphics in low-res than Split Second all maxed out....

Are you serious?  I actually installed Burnout Paradise 2 days ago just to get myself back into arcade racing (getting ready for Blur & Split Second  ) and I can't help but notice that Burnout Paradise looks dated at maxed settings 4xAA @ 1920x1080. I installed Split Second last night and played at Very High settings @ 1920x1080 (also tried going split screen on the same keyboard with someone else which rocks ) and I am blown away by its graphics. Everyone has different taste I guess.  |
its just lots of blur and bloom, its not like actuall details are high rez.. it might look, but there isnt that much details to begin with, but its fast racing game, so it hardly matters
ill agree that ppl who keeps yelling how good graphics is, are clueless, but on the other hand, game looks good enough for what it should do, its not crysis, nor would you actually see things in fast racing game

Graphics is alright. Nothing spectacular. Only thing about graphics that sometimes annoy me is objects popping in distance.

Nothing spectacular? This game has the best gfx in an arcade racing game.

The multiplayer part could be better coded indeed. When a player joins with a crappy firewall the game can't synchronize with all players and starts every 5 secs a new countdown. The issue gets resolved when the player quits the session... which is mostly after 30 seconds.
Then we also come to the second part.... we really need a chat... it's just a pitty you can't brag about your performances last race while the waiting for a new game can be relatively long.
And for all the people who don't like this game... FU... as told many times before you guys have to wait for a game like dirt 2 ... this is something COMPLETELY else ! 
BTW ... i had an online ranking of 28 yesterday

I swear sometimes people will just moan for the sake of it. It's a fun game, nobody here has paid for it, if you don't like it uninstall it, if you do like it start adding each other as buddies and get some races going!
Don't tell me no-one saw the invite section...

I doubt I'll find it interesting, I got up to Episode 3 in the end, winning the first three with a 10+ second lead. You can so easily get ahead in the first few seconds and just not care about the rest of the cars that I doubt I'll find it interesting at any point

The explosions and other special effects look pretty good, but other than that it's absolutely nothing better than Burnout. Not so strange when it's the PURE engine
For those who really like this better than Burnout or even Flatout: why exactly? Both of those games at least give you some control over your car, in this game you don't need it
In fact, the "drifting" pisses me off a bit, because that doesn't belong in an arcade game in the first place. I know how hard (and fun) it really is, seeing it get simplified to what it is in this is just..meh.

Anyone found a way to change the default controller for Player 2 (Split Screen) to, say, the second gamepad? I'm using the first gamepad and the other player defaults to the arrow setup on the keyboard, even though there's a second gamepad connected and all set-up from within the game.
