Redownload it if you're playing from ISO, or if you've already burned it; reburn.

Redownloading of the game is unnecessary. A simple hash-check will do its magic and download the missing files. It's just the iso of the game is incomplete.

How is that supposed to work? What hash check and where is it downloading the missing files from? The only other way I could think of is by using Quickpar and creating a specific par2 set for the rld-spsv.iso to repair it. Thats what I just did and here it is:

If 6 blocks are enough, and it isn't damaged that badly then you can repair it and don't have to redownload anything.

I'm pretty sure he meant a file verification assuming it was via torrent, unsure how Newsbin or what it's name was again handles it and for FTP you'd need a download manager, HTTP as well.
(Should cover most anything unless it's IRC or some obscure P2P client like DC or Emule if those are even around.)

So I played a bit of singleplayer which is great fun, I want to try online as well but then I have no idea where to create an account... All I see in the "online" menu is asking me to enter my user name and password but there is nothing about where to register for an online account? Confused

Just enter the login you want and the next screen will let you register.

For all people who don't like this game... as stated before this game has the gameplay as Burnout on consoles.

You can't compare this to Dirt / Need for speed / Testdrive etc etc

Got it working now, thanks for the tip. Very Happy

Any ideas?

You have multiple monitors. Smile

Disable them prior to starting the game.

I need my second monitor always on to check messages and emails...

Isn't there a way to tell the game only to use one of the monitors?

Try changing the resolution, then enabling the monitor and running the game again. The game is known to have many bugs with multi-monitor setups... Poop port...

Maybe its xfire related (if ur using it). It was the cause on screencrashes before on other games.

I'm enjoying this game quite well. I barely notice that it runs on 30 FPS and it's always steady for me at Very High. It looks amazing and the explosions and crashes are very nice Very Happy

I was initially disappointed with this game, and I can see there are more than a few people having issues with it. But once you get past the issues, forget about the 30fps limit (you won't even notice, to grumble about it is ridiculous) you will find an absolute blast of a game.

The thing it does better than any other racer I've played is... FUN! Wow what an exhilerating game. Joyous to behold the destruction you can cause, and you never feel like the race is over when you are in 8th place on the last lap. One well timed power play and BOOM you are back in the lead, all the while terrified that a sodding great ocean liner is going to squash you, or a hotel will fall on your head.

It runs great on high settings on my relatively weak PC and still looks great, so don't be put off by not beaing able to max it. See past the faults, and look at the GAMEPLAY. After all, isn't that what we're all about? Gameplay over graphics, I see that term bandied about all over the place, but here it makes perfect sense.

Play it. Enjoy it.

I can honestly say I have never driven across the deck of an aircraft carrier that was listing to one side with F-18 fighter jets sliding towards my car. Fucking EPIC.

So far very fun, but anyone else noticed very poor sound quality? Sif it's muted and generaly lacks fidelity. Also, the gfx don't justify the performance.

I did notice the sound of the cars being somewhat muted. It's like it's 5.1 but some channels are missing, or something.

Performance problems=shit port. Still stand by what I said up there though.

This.
Running great on a 4870 (apart from the 30fps cap, but surprisingly I don't find it that annoying), the driving model is very simplistic but fun nonetheless (360 pad here) thanks to solid game mechanics and well made explosions, plus it also has free multiplayer... Smile

The bad quality of the sound reminded me initially of NBA 2K10 commentary. For some reason, everything besides the music and engine sounds is of very low quality, such as the TV-show effects.

How to play multi player?

The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

I thought you would know that, being awesome and all. Come on, admit it, you're new to all this, aren't you? Smile

Click the Multiplayer tab in the game, give it a username and password (tab from name to password) and click OK. Search for game, play game.

10.4 here as well, on a 5870, and I got it to run fine. Although I obviously didn't bother to unplug my secondary monitor, so it was running at 1280 Smile
