saw one trailer for this and went meh. didnt look anything special.
and stopping ripping on the mummy, the first 2 were great films, and its a pity youre that dull if you cant enjoy a fun adventure movie like that one.

I've watched it a week ago and it's dam down right white washing at its best. Though tan skinned Gemma is waaaay too hot. The movie was shitty, like it's been based on the comic relief itself.

movie shows the dagger as rewinding time to stop events that have already happened... so the dagger can let someone also look forward into time? well ok guess that makes sense then... only played the first game but didnt finish it, and only remember it rewinding time... like just before ever-so-slightly misjudging that jump..., but yeah oh, i guess that makes sense...
As the game fan I wanted to see this movie, went to the cinema with my gf...

as a game adaptation: 1/10
Like, seriously. They did EVERYTHING wrong. They even changed Farah's name, I mean SERIOUSLY, it's supposed to be the game adaptation, not a whole different story... And the ostrich races? Wow.
The ending in the original SoT was a lot better too...

hate all this endless whining about game translations never being literal... most games simply can not be literally translated, because theyre 2 different mediums.. same with books to movies and movies to games.
hating on it for being crap is quite valid, but complaining about the translation not being accurate is just silly.
there was probably a very good reason they did it. its hollywood, the 'less work' they have to do, the better. if they could just lift the names and use em, then they would. maybe farah tested badly with people and sounded too much like a terrorist name or something. its not that great of a name anyway, so its not exactly a loss and DOESNT impact on the strength of the story in any way.
just like how they changed spikes name to sam or some shit in transformers. rest assured, the movies still would have sucked every bit as hard if hed kept his name.
