Yeah, I don't believe in "Epic" "Games" either.
If anything, Clear Sky was buggier than Shadow of Chernobyl.

I finished the whole game before the first patch and I didn't come upon a single bug.

Not sure about that mate. There are still small indie devs out there, even one man ones, that produce interesting and fun games for the PC. They might not make millions but they do make thousands of dollars.

I did the same with SoC. I restarted Clear Sky about five times, with different patches.
It always ended up inexplicably crashing in Cordon. Too bad the Swamp is such an awesome introductory level.

Could not care less about this pathetic company. They destroyed Unreal Tournament 3 and introduced the most overused consolised engine in Pc's game history
The best thing that could happen is if Unreal Engine is stop being used for pc titles.. Ah, no more blur, lack of AA, no more next gen colors of brown..

If I could photoshop, I'd shoop the old Epic Megagames logo to something like Epic Megafails.
Or Epic Consolegames.

So it's only natural that they're interested in ONLY the money. |
Exactly what i was thinking. You have corporate dickheads and marketing fuckups getting six-figure salaries and yet they say how much it costs to produce games nowadays. Maybe if they were to take pay-cuts then games wouldn't cost so much (yeah, right) Meanwhile, the programmers are cheated out of their share (Activision) and they want us to support them by buying their games.
These people are just drug dealers in ties. They found a money source of young and naive users (consoles) and they're milking it dry. It all started when they realized they can get away with selling games for $60 and charging for DLCs as well. Now they have to justify to their stockholders leaving the PC market. I can just hear this being said in a meeting: 'The stockholders will believe anything they read in the media. They believed it when we said piracy was killing the movie industry, they believed it when we said it was killing the music industry, and they'll believe when we say it's killing the games industry.' The sad part is that they're right.

pc gaming died when nobody bought UT3. the old hardcore crowd is the only crowd that supports UT anymore, TF2, MW2, ect are the new hang out spots and epic failed to update their gameplay. their own fucking fault, so i guess they've given up for now, but somehow with the success of licensing U3 engine, i can't imagine how true that is...

No, he means TF2 and MW2 are the successful ones, instead of UT.

If we extrapolate Epic's sentencies and compare them to the quality of all the games released during the so called "nextgen era" (2005-2010), it's clear that all their excuses become a bunch of nonsenses.

All I can say is they'll be back. If you make something good for the pc you make money. If they have a good title on their hands capitalism will see to it that it get on the pc. Their own greed will dictate that the still large market pc-gaming is get tapped into. If not it's their loss really.
Btw the only thing I'm thinking when I hear Epic Games is UT and UT on a pad is just disgusting.

I don't remember the last Epic game I played, but I'll really be glad when the Unreal Engine disappers from PC. I really don't like the bulky plastic feel of it. I don't know whether it's the devs or the engine itself, but almost all UE3 games look empty and unrealistic for some reason.
