Do you really need the entire Master Collection, though? You can easily download the tools you need separately. Or am I missing something? Confused

Well you just feel more 1337 I guess :\

Plus I don't install everything from Masters Collection (video editing software for instance), but if I'm ever in need of one I don't have to search the internet for software, because it's on my HD...

Haha Smile

I thought there was something specific that is exclusive to the Master Collection (or any of the Adobe CS5 collections for that matter).

I'm downloading the Master Collection now actually, because I couldn't find a proper version of Illustrator CS5 on usenet... Laughing

I'll probably get bored with this one pretty soon and put back either the W40K Apothecary or the KZ soldier. Smile

Very informative reply lol, switch it on, yeah ok great.... thannks i think..

To be pretty rediculous now, the whole pre setup info and layout does not even remotely mention about having to "switch on" anything regarding character styels so you can see the window control in the window menu for it...

what would of been logical is to have the menu appear with it when one selceted Text from the tools pallet or something, or hay! I got an idea why not just leave it in the fucking menu all times so you can easily decide if you want to choose it.. Rolling Eyes

even the help info selected via PS only search dont show nothing about it...

If im wrong please enlighten me and proove me incorrect.... I dont like things that are diff when one is viewing training dvd.s

Oh look !! for Indesign : Window > Styles > Cell Styles / Character Styles / Paragraph Styles > Table Styles

where is it for PS cs5 extended.

hmm i guess ur saying its old news huh lol

no but seriously if your trying to show styles its not what the problem is!!!

Character styles is new to cs5 and has its own sep window that should be as far as dvds are concerned in the "Windows" dropdown list.. its not, and its not what ur showing I have those fine thanks lol...

I don't know what Training DVDs you are comparing to, but the chances are that the author has created a customised Workspace which would explain the layout differences.

Are you talking about the dialogue box options that become available when holding ALT key down when clicking Create new style for Cell, Table, Object, Character and Paragraph styles?

I can't see a way to customise the placement of the structure for application menus, just the option to hide or show. But aside from your videos showing a non-standard menu system, what possible benefit does that offer you?

I think it's far more convenient using a customised Workspace for quick access to any styles you wish to apply.

hmm ur still not getting what im saying here, i couldnt give 2 monkeys about what layout someone has or does not have Very Happy, im saying I dont seem to have that window for use at all, no mater how ur supposed to get it to show..

Where is it? its sep from the char and paragraph window... but because its not in the dropdown as i showed in the jpg, I cant find where to see it.. (NOT THAT IT MATTERS)

I just dont like it when I see shit in a menu and wonder hey wtf why is it different, his menu btw in the vids is set to a predefined layour load up, which still does not show it if loaded with it myself. I guess im more concerned wether the release is really full release or wether they omitted the selection etc from the final release...

I cant find no notes on it though so hence why ive asked about it here..

Firstly, I give up gazing into the crystal ball, how about you tell us what Training DVD's your talking about (Lynda.com.InDesign.CS5.Essential.Training-QUASAR?)? Second, I get it. Thirdly, you said it yourself, it doesn't matter Smile

I like the new CS5 Smile Sure the content aware isn't perfect, but that was expected (I mean if I let my comp do everything for me, where's the art in that grinhurt). I will stick with CS4 for a little while, because my current comp isn't able to do shit (the wet painting is cool, but my shitty comp can't 'chew' it Sad )...

geebus its lynda.com fundamentals for cs5 i was going to brush through on the changes within cs5.. But again that dont fucking matter if it was monkey training.com, but you do seem to be enjoying dragging it out without any reply of such lol..

"and before you retort with, "well your dragging it out not saying what training dvd it is", that shit dont matter wank as said enough already.

All you had to do or anyone else looking was check theyre cs5 release they are using, look in the windows dropdown see if character styles was there, if not open the menu config and see if its in there and no view icon on..

Hell I enjoy a good chinwag but fucksake man lol..

So with still no answers on this matter, I will put it to bed and ignore the fucking non appearing character styels window..

Thanks for your time replying, and ill send you a cheque in the post for the hired time of your crystal ball...

Let's see, your the one freaking out over a missing useless menu option based on a direct comparison to some Training DVD. So yeah, it does "fucking matter".

Most of my replies where trying to pry some more info out of you as you where too busy complaining to actually state basic facts.

I can't see how you can customize the menus in such a way so my answer would be some script has been used to either add the option because it's not supposed to be there or that the video is based on a non final product. I never used the beta so I can't say either way.

So yeah, the best thing to do, ignore the fucking option. Problem solved. Looking forward to chinwagging again lol Smile

you cheeky urchin lol, im not freaking out! and direct comparisons should be done if your going to expect to follow any step by step instuctional training right? No good the guy teaching you telling you to get out your red fucking colouring pencil if you only got a fucking blue one, and a red one is required..

Its not complaining its wondering curiosity lol..

I dont want to fucking customize menus, your still not eating the pie and digesting it eh? The whole fucking option is not available.. And I doubt it would of been added anyhow, as you say its prob not the final version, or is, i dont know lol... Thats the whole point here, is it isnt it meant to be there..

Im gonna email the guy and say, "hey wtf are u doing appearing in training dvd's that dont actually marry up with the release version of the software in your demonstrations?"

Ill give him fucking one on one training, one right on his kisser the fooking dinlo...

Oh and fuck your chinwagging Very Happy you like to wag around the obvious..Smile

CS5 One-on-One: Fundamentals Training DVD with Deke McClelland - http://www.deke.com/content/my-comprehensive-photoshop-cs5-one-one-fundamentals-goes-live

If you read on down through the comments you'll see that "deke" admits to using various beta builds when recording. So you can be rest assured that this Training DVD you've selected to learn from isn't using the final retail version. Case closed.

More wagging around the obvious? lol, right you are Smile

I'm thinking about "getting" Adobe CS5 because I'm currently using CS2 which is probably a bit outdated.

Could someone briefly summarize how cracking/activation is accomplished at the moment?
I read about modifying the hosts file being sufficient -- is this true and is this the standard way of doing it or are there other (better) solutions?
