The little touches are what make this game great. Some bandit was running across the top of a hill so I shot at him from quite a distance but only manged to hit his leg but he tumbled down the hill and hit a rock. When I went to loot him I noticed a blood patch on the rock.

So you can lasso wild animals, like deers and shit. Any reason to do so?
Lasso'ed a deer but that sucker pulled me a couple of yards Very Happy

I guess there's no reason as a live deer can't be sold anywhere

Is there a way to continuasly drag people who are lasso'ed while on horseback ? or at least speed up ( For instance man on horse rides past , I lasso him off and drag him infront of say a train or off a bridge )

I dunno dude I haven't had any trouble with it. Got into a fist fight with a guy and he wouldn't stay down so I ran to my horse and he gave chase on his. As he went by me I yanked him off with the lasso and proceeded to drag him around the outskirts of town. The rope automatically let go when he finally died. I then looted and teabagged of course Smile

Lesson I just learned:
If you see somebody getting chased don't think the chasing person is a bandit :/
That lesson cost me 20 bucks and a couple nights in jail Very Happy

Well TB the trick is you got to know when to hold em. Know when to fold em. Know when to walk away - know when to run. You got to count your blessings (or cards) when you're sitting at the table... lol

No seriously you really do have to be patient. Don't play every hand. Its ok to fold a lot cause you'll win those blinds back and then some when you play the right hand. Luck plays a part in it too of course. Three aces didn't hurt either hehe. Best advice I can give is when you have a good hand don't go balls to the wall with your bets. Lure them in with each card dealt. If you get the impression the other players are unsure, make your last bet steep. Not outrageous but enough to scare them off. In other words call their bluff.

But if you know you got it won and they want to keep betting then go all in. Most times they think that 2 pair they have will win and they'll call your bet. Easy money. Only if you know you got it tho, like straight or a flush or such. I gambled big time on my 3 of a kind but it paid off.

Don't feel bad about getting wiped out. The first game I played I went all in and lost the 200 I had just won. So I shot em all and ran heh

i probably haven't play this for long enough, but it seems like its $25 to enter a poker game.

i have 0 so went around killing / looting people. Got to $20 before someone shot and killed me for the reward.

I guess doing missions earns you money early on?

Simple question: how to tame the freaking horse? I catch them with a lasso and after a second or two they are on the loose once again. What should I do after I catch him with a lasso?

Doing side quests earns you money, and main quest earns you money when you loot corpses and open chests.

Btw, what i miss in this game is a proper upgrading/customizing of my weapons, and i think the gunshop doenst have enough guns, most of 'm arent availible as well.
Also i would love to see something like in Assassins Creed 2, like buying your own ranch and upgrading it for a steady income etc.. that would make this game a lot better.

Missions give you money. As do wanted posters. If you can scrape together $10 you've got a couple of easy Five Finger Fillet wins. You can also just try to help people in distress, they usually give you a reward if successful.

Kill animals, skin them and sell it in stores.

Quite a few ways to make at least some walking around money in the beginning. Smile

You should also make sure you've got some money on you at all time, you never know when someone wants to challenge you with something. And it sucks having to turn them down because you spent all the money on booze.

After you lasso him get off your horse and go to him. Then hop on and "break" him

However the good news is that the game rox and not in a small way.

Holy god. Sell it. That's the point.

For best bang for your buck, Hawk feathers are the way to go. Abundant, and easily dropped with Dead Eye. Rack up 30 feathers in a few minutes, sell for 180 bucks. Rince and repeat when funds are low.

I too couldn't agree more. This game has something extra. We can all make long lists of what we like about it so far, but it can also be summarized in one word: it. That very rare thing that can make a good game great. Something all developers look for their games to be, but only a handful ever succeeds.

R* has done it. Again.

I like what the other guy said about they make art, not games. I think I was expecting what wheat said which is why I was a little shocked. What I got is better tho.

"Epic". Fuck those dumb ass kids. That whole tween and teen generation is just one fucking sad bunch. Feel sorry for their folks.

Besides - westerns never were for kids anyway.

Hm. Is there any way to see what horse I am riding and what it's stats are?
And when taming a horse how do I determine which horse it is? Only by colour?

So far I must say that this game is a pleasant surprise, the world feels really harsh and unforgiving and that may be why the "usual" rockstar audience dislike it. Personally I find it to be a pleasant change and it makes the world and the characters that inhabit it, far more real to me.
I haven't gotten that far in the game yet though, still just roaming around armadillo and having a nice time exploring the wilderness, camping at night and rescuing damsels in distress, who then turn out to be robbers! - good thing I have the "dead eye" slowtime Razz
There's a lot of nice little touches and stuff to see and do, I don't think I've yet begun to scratch the surface but what a nice surface it is!
