I am wondering if any1 else also has a install problem with republic commando? When installing is almost finished the game asking for cd1, when loading cd1 it gives a error and shuts down setup.

Aha, sorry I know exactly what that error depends on. I got it with several games like Rome total war and Warhammer 40k. The problem emerges when you install SP2 over standard XP or XP SP1. There is some weird conflict with Installshield and SP2. If you format and install a slipstreamed XP SP2 you should not have that problem anymore. I tried almost everything like defragging, reg cleaning, reg defrag and so on but only a fresh reinstall helped.
