Well, too many of the missions just felt really "run and gun" type, there was little to no real stealth for me, some missions just even threw like a shitload of soldiers at you to shoot at. I played this on normal cause I just wanted to get started but I don't know how the setting actually impacts the gameplay itself.

Now I wasn't a superfan of previous SC games but I did like the stealth element to them which seems to be gone here, it didn't feel like I got penalized when I messed up with stealth, instead I just had to shoot two or three more guys in the head. Also not being able to move bodies made me go "huh, why can't I move these...?".

It was a fun game, but not fun enough to have to shove out 399SEK for it. o.O

Helloo i have a problem with the audio in the cutescene is cut in the start of the cutescene in rest perfect i have a creative audigy gamer audio card any solutions.

not surprised, recent on board audio chips have better driver support, personally i've never had problems with on board chipsets, dumbed that creative long time ago

I guess that's a fair criticism. I realy loved the mission where you had to infiltrate 3d ashilon and avoid cameras and alarm, too bad it was only one mission cuz that made for a great stealth mission. I still enjoyed this SC more then any other.

Be still my heart, Yahtzee loves Thief II and Hitman. Now those were stealth games. Anyway, yeah. You don't have to take him seriously but everything he pointed out is hard to refute The cover system is the one glowing point to this game though. Every developer needs to take notes from how this one did it.

It was a point he made in the review for splinter cell conviction. He hates all of them, ie the whole series, not just conviction. I take it you like Chaos Theory in which case he is not correct about every point he makes.
I get you think he's correct about the points he makes about conviction, but when the guy hates the entire series which, according to you, the new game makes a mockery of, how can anything else he has to say about conviction be taken seriously. None of the splinter cell games have featured AI that could be called competent, everything he states about the AI in conviction can be applied to every other game that preceded it. Does that make him correct about them as well?

At the end of the day, we all know you hate it, and your never going to change the opinion of people who have played it and like it, so the constant barrage of hate really doesn't accomplish much.

My OP on the whole subject? I don't get what the fuzz is all about. For me, Splinter Cell died already with Double Agent (PC). Conviction? It's not a Splinter Cell game anymore. You could stamp any name on it and it would be fine. It's the same shit they did to Resident Evil. They dumbed it down to the max to fit in for the 199X generation. The story was the only thing that kept me playing the campaign. At least coop was kinda fun but CC's coop was imho far superior to Conviction's. Nonetheless, they're both were too short. All in all I did know before what's waiting for me. Take a look at MaxPayne3 for example... I don't think I've to say more But there is one thing that's awesome. This epic a$$ raping by SKIDROW (even without repackshit lulz) for UrineSoft, with a MP crack as an extra, puts a fucking smile on my face. updated my ATI drivers to 10.4 and also tried the hotfix 10.4a because the game was crashing randomly to desktop while playing (had 9.10 drivers) and now this is what main screen and al menu screens look like... any idea?
