Underworld series gets worse with each iteration though. The best vampire movie I watched recently was "Thirst".

just watched Magadheera 2009 720p BluRay DTS x264-D3Si
fuckin awesome indian movie ! Visual Treat. Total entertainer. The visuals , action sequences with gore and scattered human parts , romance , some comedy , extremely hot lead actress , songs , everything about this movie is really engaging and even the story though being simple makes you involved in it.
9/10

Yep, hence the spoilered Cool Face, sadly i watched both of them. Can't enjoy vampires anymore because of those two movies rofl.

Underworld is real nice tho. Number 3 is a prequel for the first two movies.

My name is Khan - 7.5/10

It's an enjoyable movie, the actor playing Khan did a really good job. But it was plagued by typical cliches and overabundant messages that felt overstressed. The movie was fun to watch but it just felt a bit forced at to many events in the movie.

I can't really explain it but I'm sure you'll feel the same when/if you see it. Even so, as said, it was enjoyable...

--

V for Vendetta - 9.7/10

I've of course seen it before but it was 2 years ago, it truly is an amazing film and easily among my favorite ones of all time. I'm also going to read the comic.

--

Kamikaze Girls/Shimotsuma monogatari - 8.5/10

Really fun and unique movie, really liked it. Not your typical Japanese movie, can't really explain it without spoiling the characters. It's not a normal movie but it's good!

Yes, it's shit. He was just messing with you a bit. Check out the other ones mentioned though, Blade is actually a pretty good Vampire action movie (only the first one though!). I don't know if you've seen I am Legend but they're kind of vampires too in a sense (a bit of a stretch though but just making sure you've seen it).

Have you already seen Memories of Matsuko - Kiraware Matsuko No Issho?

It's from the same director Tetsuya Nakashima, it really is a major improvement over Shimotsuma Monogatari, Memories of Matsuko is a cinematic masterpiece in every way shape or form!

Daybreakers - 7.5/10

My first ever vampire movie - have always avoided them because I related them to stupid old school vampire bs, and modern day girly teenagers.

HOWEVER I was shocked, this film was brilliant - although a few plot holes did occur here and there. Really really enjoyed it - anything else like this out there? (aka a mature, alternatve view on vampire films?)

I'm happy you liked it. In the Daybreakers thread people shit all over it while not accepting they've been given a "good" genre movie Smile

A Woman In Berlin - 6/10

Not much interaction/dialogue between characters but that was understandable given the situation. A matter-of-fact look at an often overlooked reality of war without giving it the emotional treatment that such a subject would normally get.

metro 5.5/10 for michael wincott

this film made me realise just how much i dislike eddie murphy. seriously... even when hes just voicing a character, i find it almost unbearable. he always comes across as a obnoxious unlikeable douchebag... even though sometimes he comes across as being alright, its always just a temporary ruse before he slips back into being a tosser.

I liked the movie too. Although the thing i liked the most is not acting (although Hawke was quite good, also Dafoe rocks as always - he looks like a troll Laughing ) but the world in which vampires are the ruling race and humans are hunted.
It's all there - blood stands (instead of lemonade Laughing ), crazy hobos in the sewers ( Very Happy ) and funny eyes.
But seriously - this was done very nicely and i loved that.
Hmm i wonder how would human blood taste when you add a little vodka Confused

@Lathieza
I hope u didn't rate Iron Man 2 so low just to be "cool". Im going to see it on tuesday, i hope its not as bad as u say :/

Daybreakers - 7.5/10 - suprisingly good entertaining fun
Kick Ass - 6/10 - dissapointingly un-funny
Sherlock Holmes - 6.5/10 - dissapointing again, liked the CGI but story was a bit pap

I agree with this.

Also, i watched Hot Rod, because 3-4 people recommended it after someone posting a gif from the movie and I was disappointed, just too much random stuff trying to squeeeeze the laughter out of me. You hump-retards ! Evil or Very Mad
