Any one got a legit version of the game to test this? It might be a crack/drm issue. |
Huh? This dosent happen to me, and no im not legit. |
Have you tested it?
This happened for me on Hunter, COOP, Last Stand, we were doing realistic on all of them.
As soon as one of us went down, you'd be invincible once you were helped back up, test it and then run around/stand in front of any enemy and see if you take damage.

I played through the entire coop campaign and several matches of last stand with a friend using the original skidrow crack (lan mode) and we were definitely dying and taking damage after going down.

Strange, I've no clue why that's happening to us then, we tried it in LAN and an Internet game, Skidrow release, both versions of the crack.

Ok so let me get this straight. online there is co-op, hunter, last stand and face off HOWEVER if you want to play hunter or last stand mode by yourself instead of saying "im playing hunter or last stand solo" UBI creates another section and calls it 'Deniable Ops'....
Very clever because watching the mp videos with the game director, I had thought deniable ops was a totally different mode.
unless im wrong?

You're correct tbh, "Deniable Ops" is basically just the name of the group of gamemodes.

What's with the random crashing issue with this game? or is it the crack which is causing it?
The optimisation is pathetic to be honest. The game stutters badly at times and keeps dropping frames.
EDIT: Just looked up on the web and found (as usual) an ATI specific issue. So off I go to download the Catalyst 10.4a Hotfix driver, which would hopefully fix this issue.

It runs like crap, the controls are lame, can't make the sensitivity even go up and there's no more speed control with the mouse wheel. On top of that, the new Sam Fisher model looks lame - doesn't even look like Sam Fisher - the story is boring, the game is only 5 hours long and this is not a stealth action game anymore!!!
WTF?! Why do companies like Ubisoft take games that work, and just as they've nailed the best formula (i.e. Chaos Theory) they fuck it all up and try to re-invent it! I mean why?! Why not just try to improve on something that works so well?!?!!! |
Sure mate i played everything with Sam Fisher on PC and even Splinter Cell 1 looks better to me.I will finish this for the record but this is not the good old Splinter Cell at all

There must be more ports required than the ones Ubisoft have given us, has any one found any extra ports that are used? Still lots of people having connection issues on my vent.

anyone else notice on unrealistic difficulty setting, the enemies shoot you through walls every now and then? i was trying some different play styles to spice it up and I noticed a lot of cheap deaths from the enemy.
Then I noticed their cheap tactics were gone and I thought it was just unlucky events for me but then when I was exiting I seen the game auto turned the difficulty back down to normal... So I was dieing and the game made itself easier... wtf?

Ok, did some more testing, this only happens in Realistic mode, I've tried it with different hosts and the bug happens for them as well.

9.3 is quite old (11 months), 10.2 added Conviction_Game.exe as a profile so that would be the minimum but 10.4a as it's called (Second 10.4 beta release, newer than the WHQL set.) improves a stuttering problem on ATI 2K to 5K series and some other bug fix specific for for ATI 3K series.
(Posted in that ATI driver thread in the hardware section.)

Always try new drivers, especially since 10.4 specifically has fixes for this game for almost every one of their card generations.

My game crashed to desktop five minutes into it. I updated to 10.4 Catalyst and it hasn't crashed since. I'm just at the third or fourth mission, though.

I think it's C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\storage\SKIDROW\2
but I didn't figure out how to copy skidrow saves to online account saves |
that's coz
Code: | After changing your account in the ini file your previous saves will not be available, this is how game works and nothing to do with our crack, different saves for different profiles, if you restore account name to Skidrow your old saves will be there again. |
