That doesn't work.
And I have a 20 second freeze every 5 minutes. It's really annoying once you get into the game.

For me it works.
- On Surround 1 - 20 sec freezes.
- On Surround 2 i Stereo - only 3 sec

I tried all sound settings (except no sound) and it's all the same for me.

here it was 3 sec every 10 min ...
but yeah didn't like this new ehm nr.7 its so streamlined it hurts now to play it, the only question here is why was it made (don't tell me it was only to bump the graphic presentation), the sp campaign is a bore (after mission 7 i deleted this crap)
Settlers 1 was a nice amiga game at the time, showing with cartoon humor how economy can build a kingdom ruled by sword
Settlers 2 was even better with the Viking and Stargate Themes that transported you to other plains (it was SO GOOD they remade it two times already "Gold edition" and the new 3D "Settlers II: 10th Anniversary" based on the engine of SV)
Settlers 3 was a horrid game
Settlers 4 was awful with its going-to-be-kids-game presentation and Saving the World tough planting new trees sucky theme
Settlers 5 well it was a RTS with no economic aspect, it wasn't even a settlers game but its graphic engine and story presentation made it a worth-a-while game
Settlers 6 was a mix bag RTS mixed with economy... a poor mans Age of Empires
Settlers 7 the only thing it has is graphics and that it , awful game

Play Crysis.
Setting the sound to surround 2 decreased my freezes from 30 seconds to 4 seconds, what the flipping fuck. Pretty sure that those who hadn't whined at the freezes had surround speakers, so they were getting way shorter freezes. Set it to stereo and experience the pain fuckers.

I have less than a second slowdowns and I'm using stereo.

In addition to the freezing every 5 mins, I encountered several error messages which did not crash the game (saying something is missing or not found). After a few secs the settlers themselves stopped moving. Reloading the game resulted in the same effect.
This crack isn't stable, or perhaps it's the game. Unsure.

I had the same problems.
I think it's crack related,and i hope they fix that because i really liked the game.
Uninstalled it because it's not playable as it is now.

I thought you needed 5 victorypoints for this mission.... i had them all in 40 minutes or so... was a bit dissapointed about that one

Hmm... When winning a skirmish game and receiving coins to use at the shop, if I restart the game the coins are gone. Am I the only one getting this?

~18 second freezes here. Didn't much like the game anyway, way too little freedom for my liking. Huge step back for the series, imo.
