Apparently Coop is available at 99.9%, but either the Multiplayer part or the Campaign doesn't work atm. Haven't personally tested it yet though.

Step 1: Download: http://www.megaupload.com... (all needed files) and download/file.php?id=10487 (the also needed host file)

Step 2: Not completely necessary, but recommend to uninstall the current copy of SC:C and ALSO delete all of the previous copied-over files in the SC:C directory, just for the sake of consistency. Then, reinstall the game with the .iso or whatever copy that you obtained via download, torrent, etc..

Step 3: Once the game is reinstalled, extract the contents of the test2.rar somewhere that ISN'T the SC:C directory first, as the contents are buried into another folder inside of the .rar file. Once extracted, manually copy the contents of the test2 folder INSIDE of the newly extracted test2 folder to the SC:C directory (C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Splinter Cell Conviction or what have you).

Step 4: Go to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc and you'll find the "hosts" file. Rename this file to "hosts2" or something along those lines. Copy the hosts2.txt file that you downloaded above to this folder. Then, rename the hosts2.txt file to "hosts" (that means remove the 2, as well as the .txt - side note: if you cannot see the .txt association of the file, go to the Control Panel > Folder Options > "View" Tab, then uncheck "Hide Extensions For Known File Types" and click apply, then you should be able to see it in order to remove it).

Step 5: Open the Start Menu and either click Run.. or type "cmd" into the Vista/7 search bar, and right-click cmd.exe in the results, and left-click "Run as administrator.." once the cmd shell is open, type in "ipconfig /flushdns" and it will confirm that it has done so. Close out of the cmd shell.

Step 6: In the SC:C directory, you should see a folder (was extracted from the test2) called "static3.cdn.ubi.com", open this. Then go into "orbit" folder. Then, "patches_launcher", then "0119", then "crack". Copy the "ubiorbitapi_r2.dll" file. Then, navigate to the Ubisoft game launcher directory (C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft by default, or whatever your location is - may not be changeable, actually) and go into the "Ubisoft Game Launcher" folder. In there, you should see another "ubiorbitapi_r2.dl" file. Rename this file to "..._r22", "..._r2_bak" or whatever. Doesn't matter, just rename it as a backup. Then paste the one from the "crack" folder in the SC:C\etc directory before into this Ubisoft Game Launcher directory.

Step 7: Go to the SC:C directory, and run the server.exe file. Then, in the SC:C directory, go into the "src" folder, then the "system" folder and launch the game using the conviction_game.exe

Lutzifer: no direct links to cracks please...

Yes, I've played like 4 complete maps of Hunter, they work fine.
LAN and co-op campaign are not working, like you said.

Also I've upgraded my uniform and my pistol Razz

The only thing I need now is LAN.

Now with that post you will start to get them in this thread. Seriously, think before posting crap like that....

Deleting the line '127.0.0.1 gconnect.ubi.com' (or adding an # at the start of the line) from the HOSTS file, you can create a LAN Match.

Don't know if anyone can connect to it using hamachi/tunngle tho.

It's on the forum where AC2 came from. Look around there for the proper thread (Not sure if we can actually link it here).

But you can sniff packets coming from his PC to the router, and capture the MAC, and then set it on your computer and gain access. It's like two minutes of work.

I know, because I've done this before Cool Face

So please, use WPA.

exactly, that's the point, you just capture one packet and you're good, cause it contains the MAC of the "trusted" machine
you don't even need the few extra seconds / minutes (and data packets), you'd need for finding a WEP key Razz

how do you sniff the packets if you CANNOT get on the wireless network?

Make sure to do this if youre trying to connect by hamachi, its needed for cod 5 waw and most other coop games nowadays

* For Windows XP:
1) Get the newest hamachi (1.0.3.0)
2) Go to your Network Connections folder in Control Panel (Start -> All programs -> Accessories -> Communications -> Network Connections)
3) Open Advanced (on the toolbar) and there Advanced settings, and there you will have your Connections: Local Area Connection, Hamachi etc. Move the Hamachi on the top of the list with up and restart your computer.

* For Vista/7
1) Start -> Control Panel
2) Control Panel - Network and Sharing Center
3) Network and Sharing Center -> Manage Network Connections
4) Hit Alt to pop up the toolbar
5) Advanced -> Advanced Settings
6) Use the Arrows on the right hand side to make Hamachi on the top
7) Go back to Network Connections after hitting ok Right-click Hamachi network adapter Properties and select IPv4 and hit properties again
Cool Select Use the Following IP Address: and enter this info. IP Address: The one that hamachi gives you when you log on. It might change after restarting so remember how to get here. Subnet Mask: 255.0.0.0 Default Gateway: 5.0.0.1 DNS Info: Leave blank.
9) At that menu hit Advanced. At the bottom set the interface metric to 10
10) Hit OK>OK>Close to get back to network connections.
11) Go Back to Control Panel and select Windows Firewall.
12) Hit Change Settings
13) Select Advanced Tab
14) De-select Hamachi and hit Ok.
15) Restart your machine.
16) Join any game you like.
Note: If hamachi gives you an error upon starting it means it changed your ip. You need to re-do step 9.
