Same here. Has a decent price, and i'm actually enjoying it. Shame about the protection though or i would buy it. From playing the demo i thought this was gonna suck. I'm glad it doesn't.

Disable in-game AA, Depth of Field and set No Upscaling. Should be as sharp as possible. Also you have to reload the map/game for it to take effect, as said. |
Can't disable DoF, even tried via config file. Stays disabled in config, but it's always on in Options screen. Making file read-only didn't help.
Without AA picture is sharp, but the trees look like crap. Still better than total blurry mess.
Anyway, reached mission 6 - 'Expanding an Empire' and have lost two times already. Quite challenging, at first attempt I lost due to under-expansion, AI quickly conquered nearby sectors and at second attempt - due to over-expansion - my economy collapsed and I painfully watched AI slowly rising the number of soldiers and eventually acquiring the last victory point.
With AI doing stuff, game feels more like a boardgame  |

It's actually bugged and ticks the option whenever you open the Options screen. Just untick it to keep it from enabling itself.
I don't necessarily agree with everything I say.

It's actually bugged and ticks the option whenever you open the Options screen. Just untick it to keep it from enabling itself. |

thats a laugh as there never was an emulator for this game, nor will there be one.
Dormine himself said that AC2 was the ONLY game that had values, and could be logged that way. S7 & Conviction will need to be cracked. ( S7 is cracked, bugged autosave but still working).

Well, at RIN.RU they tried to make an emulator. And it partially worked (had many bugs). But the autosave worked flawlessly. BTW, the regular save function is also very slow compared to the server emulator version (1-2 secs to save, compared to 15-20 secs with the razor crack).
They messed up something...
It's a laugh you never heard of it.

It pains me..
This game is good.. its everything settlers is about .. (yes the campaign is pretty shitty.. but this shits bout the custom skirmish type games)
The online aspect of the game (Eg buying things with gold... facebook integration etc) should have been its only DRM.. and its decent DRM...
As i said i would have had NO problems buying it .. but im gonna sit here playing my pirated version happy as a clam since ubi have fucked us all with this DRM.

Well tbh when I launched the game for the first time (rzr version ofc) my firewall didn't see any outgoing connection nor another kind of modification.
How could it "fuck"your internet connection?

Maybe they're hooking some windows library. (I don't have the game, can't check)
