I know that regarding console releases there's never 100% working. However, I encountered so many non-working due to "xbe in debug state" games and wasted so many dvd's, most of them, WAM.
Can someone confirm this release is working on older chips as well.

OK well, im not gonna give some long summary, but its the most tactical FPS on Xbox ever.
Some missons start you off with 6 other guys....if you die you pick any teammate to respawn as. When you get your whole squad capped....you can respawn from the start with your whole team.
You teammates arent dumb either. So far I have very few complaints. Im telling you, this is one of the greatest FPS shooters.....not just WWII FPS.
Fall back COD and MOH. ITS OVER for those lames.
The singeplayer is sweet. Some of the voice acting is a little over done. SOUND is awesome!!! 5.1 + BIA = Subwoofer orgy. Its perfect. Im playing on difficult. And those freaking nazis arent a joke.
Point is....you play this game like Halo, COD or MOH, you're gonna be raped.
Oh....and I gotta say this one more time for the haters BIA >>>> Halo 2 YUP

I can't get the multiplayer to work, I just can't split screen it. I set up the players and then I try to begin the game and it does nothing...Anyone else get the same problem?

well, the first time i loaded splitscreen my xbox frozeup so i restarted it did it agian and it loaded....so now its working fine for me might be best to get the ntsc version when it comes out that way it will be retail for sure

better to wait for the pc version since the xbox version has got such glowing reviews and the pc version can only be better since its from a pc game developer and fps titles are always better on the PC

I bought this game today and it is great!!! Really nice change to the FPS genre. Support these guys and buy this one, it is worth your money!

So can older mod users use Dexbe to patch it and it will work fine?

This would not work on my Xectutor version 1 modchip.
I patched it using XISO and now it works fine.

It works without problems on my PAL xbox with aladdin advance, no operations needed. really aewsome game i tell you 
Figured i'd write a small and quick mini-review for you people who haven't got it yet.
I've played for about 4 hours last night, and i am stunned. the visuals, the AI, the general gamestyle.. i guess you could compare it to Full Spectrum Warrior (www.fullspectrumwarrior.com) in some aspects.
For example: when you get to a blind corner, you just don't run around it and gun down any eventual enemies waiting for you. You have to use real life tactics, e.g. have someone supressing the enemy while you or someone else flanks the enemy position. The surpressing/flanking system works very well and even after a hundred manouvers like it it doesn't get boring - gearbox hade produced true gaming goodness if you ask me.
After a couple of missions you get to command a tank (the same way as you control your fireteam). The tanks is well implemented into the game without any apparent flaws, the way it should be. Other FPS games have proven that implementing fighting vehicles isn't easy to do, if you want it to both look good and play good.
As the game progresses, you will be given more and more responsibilities as a commanding officer (You play as Sgt. Matt Baker). In the beginning you are not commanding anyone, but you are following a superior officer around to learn the basic controls of the game. A bit in to the game you'll get you're first fireteam, consisting of 1 man - oh come on, don't complain about that, 1 man can do alot to the krauts In the beginning you have tio use you're one man to surpress enemy positions, while you flank them and pick them off. A bit later you'll have a three-man fireteam, and eventually a three-man fireteam and a two-man assaultteam. (that's how far i've progressed)
The game has a very immensive storyline, with intrigues (spelling?) you'd expect in a wargame. it gives a slight band of brothers feeling, i guess that says all (for you who have seen it). I'm not a very good reviewer so i don't think i can comment much on the story without pulling any spoilers  It is very good tho. immensive.
The controls of the game can be a bit confusing early on, atleast if some krauts are rushing at you and you don't have a lot of time
It doesn't take too long to grasp and when learnt they are smooth as newly polished dogs bollocks.
The graphics & sound are pretty good. the bushes, grass, trees and visual effects like explosions and bloodsplatter are very nice, i didn't expect it to be that great on the xbox, but it is. top-notch console graphics, right up there with riddick. or maybe not, pretty good anyways. There are some effects that really pulls you in to the game even more, like when you have to run over a field while an MG is firing at you, the bullets kicks up dirt and mud when it hits the ground next to you. You can hear the bullets zooming by right next to your head, great soundeffects!.. when a bullet hit the ground right next to you you can get dirt and mud "in your eyes" e.g. all over the screen, and it further pulls you into 1944 normandy. the same apply to shooting an enemy at point blank range, the only difference is the color 
I'd have to say this definately is one of the best xbox games i've ever played, and i've played most of the big titles.. if Xbox Live wasn't so expensive i'd buy it to play online, THAT's hos good it is
And omg i've written alot, maybe should have posted this in the reviews section.. hrm :/..

yeah, this game rocks! only complaint i have is that the gfx could have been a little bit better. some textures are in really bad quality. minor complaint though, overall the game expirence is really nice.

I'm having the same problem. Selecting "begin match" (or whatever the menu option is called, I'm not at home right now to check it out) after players have been assigned does nothing. Well, some text flashes by under the menu buttons for an instant, but too fast for me to figure out what is said.
Am I doing anything wrong here?

i cant get it going I used same method as i used with cold fear but doesnt seem to work on this game,i extacted image then deleted the 2 dashupdate & update xbe then patched default.xbe created iso then burned to dvdr but still froze on xbox logo
spacedmonkeys did you do anything different to me?
