time travel here was explained perfectly and it made sense, and why he did it made sense. maybe its too deep for you to understand

Great logic there Frant Wink

Waldo is saying the writers 'explained' the timetravel within the show's reach, nothing more can be expected. Looking for a plausible scientific explanation in a TV show for something like timetravel is retarded.

eh
obviously there's no "rules" - but every single piece of fiction has internal logic
in most cases we don't care if it's broken or not
but when key points of the entire plot rest on this logic, it suddenly becomes important for the story
the show quantum leap and the back to the future films show some of the worst time travel in their medium, but they are internally consistent within the series (mostly)
furthermore, we don't really care as it's not as integral to the story
shows like startrek are mostly standalone stories and consistency varies through the series but it never becomes important
shows like fringe and lost are built on mystery and promise of something that will some day make sense, which makes details a key part of the show
an important piece of the narrative is placed in a future episode that we're supposed to find out later - only to have JJ's shitty writers completely forget about it and write something that directly contradicts earlier episodes, or just plain doesn't make sense

details about the characters stay intact and stay within the show details based on fringe science are just made up. thats the freedom here. we learned about walters character and how sad he is. whilst learning about a man willing to go back in time just to die happily with h is wife. how/why its all little things. im pretty sure time travel is not a huge plot point in the show Razz

lost i agree
fringe not entirely
they have immense freedom withing sci-fi
character development though slow and absent at times continues to structure the characters

yea, it's the characters i watch the show, too
i quite like the characters and their development
i'm just annoyed that the show claims to be scifi (a genre defined by actual basis on scientific ideas) with mystery (something requiring logical consistency, as demonstrated by all the cop shows)
but ends up just being fantasy without logical memory beyond a few episodes
if it was like starwars or dr.who that are pure fantasy in scifi setting i wouldn't mind
though, it's not like i'm going to stop watching it... yet anyway

LMFAO !

Seriously now, I'm thinking of starting up on this soon. Does it get shitty later on ? I hate it when that happens.

The story doesn't progress as fast as I'd like, too many filler eps, but a better X files replacement than this you won't get. It all depends on how much you like Walter really, great character imo.

it gets shitty right off the bat
but it's ok if you enjoy it for what it is and forget everything you saw in the previous episodes

if this show goes on a break again I'm gonna piss on the american flag!!

Next ep :
While Walter deals with some very upsetting news, he tells Olivia’s niece, Ella, a fairy tale that includes musical performances by Olivia and Agent Broyles

WHAT THE FUCK a motherfucking musical episodes, what the fuck were they thinking like a typical genetic monster filler wasn't enough
JJ abrams just lost his cookie jar

I cant wait to see how everything pans out with peter and walter and alter universe and i have no idea why they have a singing ep hahahah

Well, the ending of ep21 was kind of predictable Razz
Not the best episode, but I did like it though.

Yeah, pretty much what we expected that Secretary is

He just wants his son back, coming through to our universe by realising that there's an alternate Walter that used technology to travel to his universe and steal his son, thus giving him the idea that there are alternative universes and thus inventing technology to travel between alternative universes (or possible get some help from Graham Bell, what do I know).

Good ep - I didn't mind the musical ep last week per se, but those one-off episodes just don't come even close to the ones that deal with the main story arc.

While I liked the ep, I think it was poorly done. It's as if the writers suddenly realized they were nearing the end of teh seaosn and decided to progress the story. There was absolutely no set up for this ep and some parts even felt like X-men, which is unlike Fringe. I really hope they have thought about the story, at this point it feels like they're trying to tie things up just because the season is ending. I feel a rushed finale coming with an unsatisfying cliffhanger. I hope I'm totally wrong.
