Waiting for Scene release. I imagine something to apply to existing GTA4 release, or a full release including GTA4 + Episodes (aka, standalone, lol)
Something cool will be re-releasing GTA4 including 1.6 patch, plus episodes, properly cracked.
I used to be a knee like you. Then I took an adventurer in the arrow.

Somehow Rockstar always manages to add these fucking annoying missions, to the GTA series.
Toy planes in SA, Motorcycle chases in IV vanilla, and skydiving "save the fag" missions in TBoGT

I have installed GTA episodes in a completely separate directory from GTA 4, but I'm experiencing a very weird problem.
Everytime I run GTA Episodes from Liberty City, it somehow resets the resolution configuration on GTA 4 installation?!?
What may be causing this?

^^ just download DLC , and crack .. crack is 600mb .. working

The stand-alone Episodes overwrite the settings.cfg file from the original GTA IV so that's why that happens.

yeah but, the settings are both the same, 1920*1080, why does it reset the resolution of GTA 4 to 800*600?

Also, one thing I noticed is that the GTA Episodes are somewhat slow, I'm cycling between 10 fps - 30 fps, when I use the helicopters it goes to some abysmal 5 fps!
I play GTA 4 flawlessly at 50+ fps.
The curious thing is that I'm taking a closer look at my GFX and CPU and it isn't even on medium load or overheating, so why the hell is it running so slow?

Ronhrin if you use 1.0.0.4 (patch 5 or what to call it.) of GTA IV whereas Episodes use 1.0.6.0 or 1.1.1.0 as the stand-alone version is set to then the difference would be that the new patch adds a better shadow algorithm that even at lower settings look better than the older method but will hit performance at high and especially v.high settings.
(If not then something differs between 1.0.6.0 GTA IV and 1.1.1.0 Episodes layout of settings.cfg , difficult to say but both should be fairly comparable in performance, at least based on my own experience, as they now use the same features after the latest patch for the main game.)
IamAWESOME it does sound like a registry problem if what other users have said is correct and it will crash is the install location is incorrect or missing, there's a example registry script on the previous page and some other explanations about it.
(Can't say anything about the addon version with just the DLC to add to a existing GTA IV install though but if others have gotten it to work it can't be a problem with the release.)

This game runs baaaaaaaaad
I had the same problem with GTA4 but there was a workaround with putting the distance values on certain numbers. Anybody know what settings i'm talking about and can you tell me what they were ?

You could try setting the file properties to read only.

So i'm playing the Gay Tony one and well... everyone is seriously getting on my nerves. I want to kill everyone... God i hope i'll be able to... And why so much flying? Almost every mission has something to do with a chopper... and those are a bitch to control and i'm using a gamepad...
Oh yeah and the tie-in's with the original are fucking sweet.

Specs ?
I'm thinking more and more of getting for the PS3. I intended to get it for PC but from what i've read here and at a couple other places it runs like absolute junk. This is also a game that benefit from a quad and my E8400 is slowly starting to show it's age. Still runs most games fine but GTA IV didnt ran that great on my system and apparently this is twice as worse so i can only expect a slideshow or close to.
