Question for people whose can start Assassin's Creed 2:

Which platform of Windows you use?

I use Windows 7 x64 and cannot start game. Server is started and show this lines:

2010-04-12 19:14:14,661 - root - INFO - Offlineserver version 0.44 by dormine
2010-04-12 19:14:14,661 - root - INFO - Listener for port 13005 active
2010-04-12 19:14:14,661 - root - INFO - Listener for port 13000 active
2010-04-12 19:14:14,661 - root - INFO - Listener for port 13200 active

but cannot start game, say thet need Internet connection and failed to connect to Ubisoft master servers... Does someone succeed to start game on Windows 7 x64 or it's impossible. Thanks

I disabled Windows Firewall and ESET both, and start AC2 from desktop shortcut which is created from Emulator AC2 Server 0.44 (including the latest values.db update (v1900)).
At that new panel say:
Status: -Server is running
-Game is not running

and game is loading.. After 30 sec loading say that im not connected to Ubisoft server Sad
PS. All my way of instalation:
1. I installed Assassins.Creed.2.Multi.9.CloneDVD.PC.DVD9
2. Then i install AC2ServEmu0.44-One-Click-Install.v1.0.1.0
3. I copy values.db to installation dir
4. Started game from shortcut which is created by AC2ServEmu0.44-One-Click-Install.v1.0.1.0

Please help

stanchissima is right, but the question is: why, among hundreds of useful phrases, do you remember exactly that one? I find it quite hilarious Very Happy

Pretty sure I read in this thread somewhere that you need to 1) let the game update itself from ubisoft first and 2) edit your hosts file so that the ubisoft server names all point to your own machine

But sometimes he takes "respect the dying and death" way to seriously while he's doing that. He is so close to laying a matress and flowers down the ground before carefully letting them down and brushing their hair out of their faces whispering a lullaby or something for fucks sake

Don't you see them on the map after "synchronizing"? So just "synchronize" all the places and you will see where they are.

They are now visible on your map, so go to every city and see which one you missed.

You can find them all in the Villa area (not inside the villa but in the village surrounding it)

Can't remember, I found them all very quickly, just run around on the rooftops and stop on occasion and scout the village, actually one of the idols can be seen when standing in front of the villa Wink

Use eagle vision while running over the rooftops in the village. The idols light up quite bright and can be seen over quite a distance.

Indeed first time i've seen the entrance I could not open the door, few missions later and with the same values the door just opened Smile I think it's plot/mission related.

Well, Ubisoft is right, this DRM can't be cracked (there is nothing to crack). But that doesn't stop it from being emulated. Very Happy
