Just tried this game and i gotta say.. wow! it sucks big time. First game was awesome, Altair? Knights? Teutonic Order? Jerusalem? 10/10. But Ezio? Venice ? Lame ass characters with lame ass accents ? 1/10 .. All this fuss for nothing..

Totally agree with you. This game has one of the slowest starts of any I've ever played (in terms of gameplay, obiouvsly) but after the first 4-5 hours everything gets better and overall more fun, allowing the player to have a wider control of his actions and increasing exponentially the sensation of freedom. Smile

Hm i'm used to games being cool for the first few hours and getting repetitive and boring afterwards so that's why i stoped after the first hour. Even if it gets gritty and dark at some point, 4-5 hours ? that's a lot. Maybe worth giving it another try, but definitely not in the near future

I felt the same, me and a mate started playing it thismorning and damn it was sloooooooow to get going, so it's good to know that it gets better eventually.

Eh eh I perfectly understand your point, but in this particular case the first 5 chapters are basically like a huge tutorial masked and diluted with a great number of cutscenes and driven missions. Wink

And it's also an introduction to the historical context of the game. After all, all those people were like that in our history and died in that period of time (except Borgia, of course).

g2play the key is in promotion 21.49€ until Friday, no steam Sad if i want to buy the key i can use a clonedvd to activate the key?

how can overwriting a dll file in a launcher stop the use of a server emulator being needed.. sounds like sniffing bullcrap to me.. make me wrong please Very Happy

Wonder how that's done and what it's compatible with, might be interesting to test.

EDIT: Aha, it's a slightly (Two places in the .dll altered.) tweak to make it compatible with the 118 launcher and the current emulator.

it just doesnt make anysense to me...all i can think of is someones found a bypass which has been there all the time for future removal from ubi of the drm..

but then one would still have to login legit account etc

It doesn't. The 118 version blocks the server emulator. That file basically allows the server emulator to be used again...

well thats odd as ive been using 118 fine lol.. all i had to do to get mine to work was turn off my ntp daemon for time synch server i had running.. which was causing some issues it seemed..

otherwise i installed ac2 let it update/latest launcher run 0.44 server with latest db, turned off and shut down my server thing as mentioned and played game...

Im just after the mission where Leonardo fixed my hidden blade (beginning)...i just now noticed that i dont have a Sword anymore..just fists and hidden blade..wtf?

Yeah, for some short time.
But you can use hidden blade as a sword (for attacking and countering)

You can actually lose a sword at any point in the game that way. The worst thing is that I am usually surrounded by swords of the fallen enemies by that time, so you could easily pick up the wrong sword. Since, as far as I know, there's no way to switch back once you pick up a new sword while not having one on you, you are forced to ride back to the Villa to replace your original sword.
Mildly annoying that is.

Are you sure you're playing the right game? Cuz if the first one (which was boring after 2 hours) was 10/10 then the second one (less boring) should be 20/10.

And yes the accents are lame..
