I'm pondering about purchasing a MW2 key from G2play.net, but I've seen some mixed reviews about that site.
1) If I purchase the key, can steam disable it?
2) If steam disables my key, will G2play refund me or issue me a second key?

1) Yes they can disable it.
2) As far as I know they do issue a new one or refund
Though, my advice would be to just buy it retail. I bought it retail for 39.99 euros. Might be a bit more expensive but it's safer.

39.99 where?
steam is selling it for 59.90
g2play is selling it for 32.
where can you purchase it for 39 and did you have to wait for physical delivery of the item?

I prefer to buy from OKS (Onlinekeystore) but G2play is not bad either.

It's a local store here. It arrived within a day or two. 39.99 euros btw. Not USD.

They might do it again when the DLC is released for PC.

I bought a key from G2 - MW2 pre-order and it was revoked after a week. I contacted them and they were out of stock due to the demand but they were waiting on a delivery and I had a replacament the following day. They answered all my emails very quickly and overall I think they are one of the better sites. Their prices aren't always the best but I'd use them again and would probably put them in pole posistion for customer service.
Oh and the first batch of keys that were revoked were from a particular region - I was actually expecting mine to be blocked for days because I had a key which had that particular region code. My replacement is from a different region - possibly Polish ... I dunno but it has been no problem.
Overall I have bought keys from 5 different sellers. I have asked for refunds because I was sent a used key, a key wasn't delivered when it was supposed to be, a key was out of stock ... from 3 different sellers. Two of those refunded without a problem. From one seller I started paypal action on one and then they refunded. If paypal get too many complaints they block accounts which is damaging to the key seller as it's the most popular and sometimes the only option for many people. I find if you wanna speed up a reply, asking if you should apply to paypal for a refund gets things moving.
I have had 2 replacements for keys revoked, including MW2.
Anyway, I haven't been scammed and all the keys I have work fine but with some sellers it can be a pain chasing up a refund or replacement. You just have to stick at it and go the paypal route if you need to.
In the case of MW2 it's an expensive game but I find a lot of other games are becoming as cheap to buy on disk from play or zavvi and others in the UK as they are from key sellers. I've seen Napoleon, M&B Warband, AVP and others at prices that are as good as or even better than from online key sellers. Of course things change all the time. I bought Warband for £15.99 from zavvi and it's £15.88 on G2 ... the price has just gone up on zavvi now but deals come and go all over the place.
Right now - G2 are selling MW2 for £30.44 and it's £29.99 here

the only problem i had with them is that i had to supply credentials like driver's license which i don't have or passport which they made me redo 2-3 times because i only had a camera phone and the picture wasn't clear enough... annoying shit.
also how do you participate in those free key events? the only thing i've seen related to it on their site is a link to their twitter with the dates and when i goto their site on the actual day nothing shows up.

Do you need to submit your personal info?
That's a big no no for me, I always make all my online purchases through "anonymous" virtual credit cards.

I just bought it via G2play.net some 3 hours ago, and I'm yet to receive the key.
Just how long does it take?
