Just found out I had been invited for the beta almost a month ago ( the 7th march). For some reason the email from blizzard had gone into the junk mail despite all other blizzard mail not going there.
Sadly I missed out on the friends invite because of that but since I don't have alot of friends interested in this I might share the next friend key over here ( that is if we will see any more friend invites).

Wasn't the plan to have it as a full game in terms of length but only from the perspective of one faction with the others mostly for skirmish and real multiplayer.
(Or custom mods/maps for the game.)
Price is also going to increase as to draw better profit and balance the greater development costs of current game developments I believe although it is a business decision of course.
(Activision is just a bit more aggressive and direct about it, kinda like how Ubisoft is now pushing their own DRM solution.)
Can't say anything until it's released obviously but so far it seems alright.
(Full sized game in terms of content although only from one of the three major sides but with dedicated support, just see older titles like Starcraft, Warcraft and Diablo plus a long lifetime via MP and various addons wether free or paid for, seems even unofficial content can be made in payware but it'll probably balance itself as people will probably only purchase high quality made stuff.)
(Skips any monthly fee or privileged subscription model as well seeing as it needs a constant Battle.net connection to play even though it's mostly about authorization stuff as a form of lighter DRM.)
(As a horde of korean players will surely hit the bandwith quite a bit and stress the servers once this hits retail, it's sort of a sport over there apparently, the game that is, not DDoS or something, haha.)

Yes, that has been the plan since the beginning. Basically, it's nothing more than a game + 2 expansion packs, which will ended up around 100 single player missions all together (and alot of cinematic).

I know that. Just saying that Blizz normally introduces new units with each expansion. And with the Battle.net 2.0, they will probably be account-bound (just like WoW expansions features).

I got in the beta as well but hmm, I'm wondering if you guys possibly know a good starters guide to understanding the game and how to think when building and so on? I used to be very good at WC3 ( orc player) but starcraft seems to be very different. So anybody that knows a good guide or can perhaps give me some general tips?

the game gets added to your account, you get no key to activate to avoid people selling their keys.
about games on your bnet account, it doesn't matter. people have reported getting in with any combination of games.
of course you need at least 1 game from them to even be allowed to sign up for the beta.

Of course. You can't even sign up for it unless you have one blizzard game on your account. Tells you that if you click the sign-up button.
edit: like surray said
