Sorry for spam guys but anyone have any idea has the fade in 1.05 The AI seems a lot better in new patch so playing with 1.04 doesn't really feel like worth it.

I tried 1.05 awhile back and i couldn't hit anything with it (try the shooting range).
The nocd exe from GCW is byte for byte the same as the 1.05 patch, because there's no cd check in it anymore by default.

well maybe the exe checks the key in the registry, i dunno, but 1.04 works without fade and uses the same key.

I have an extra german key if it helps you out.

I'm not sure if they ever patched in the ability to select ENG lang with a German key

At release you could not do it and had to use the mod.

PM me if you want it

What. I bought the game on Steam, so I'm kind of expecting it to be fully updated. I can't even play the game online because of this.

1.05 is a beta and works with all editions of the game, just install the latest beta build over the 1.04 which I guess Stema uses.
(Will be installed ti /Beta and create a new shortcut to use.)

Yea, ArmA2 is one of those games where if you havent really followed the goings on in the community, it will take you quite a while to get up to speed with all of the new mods/missions/etc.

So, got a friend to buy this and we're in need of a bit of help. We're looking for good 2-player coop missions, either designed for 2 players or simply manageable with 2 players. I've been looking around a bit on Armaholic, but it's quite hard navigating the site, and very tedious having to read the description for each and every single mission just to know how many players it's for.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Is there any chance that any groups will crack the 1.5 patch? So far all mods only work with 1.5 now, so its pretty crappy that no one can release a proper keygen or crack to remove the fade, Reloaded released a keygen a month or two after the 1.5 crack but of course the keys don't remove the fade.. If this is so hard to crack why aren't other games using this protection, I remember with Arma 1 there was this same situation they never cracked the latest patch.

Facts & figures on obesity: Obesity is one the major health challenges worldwide and has become an epidemic over the last decades. Europe has the highest number of overweight and obese people in the world. The number of obese people has in fact tripled over the last 20 years in the Europe, according to the WHO. Today, over 130 million people are obese in Europe; approximately 10%-20% of men and 15%-25% of women. In addition, 400 million people are overweight in Europe.

Sorry mate I cant help there.. If you have a tiny bit of knowledge you can take single player missions and edit them so two players can play them.

When it comes to cracking the patch, I dont believe any of the groups are interested in cracking patches for the game anymore. And FADE was for created by BIS for their own games..

First off all, this game's price now ranges from 12-19 Euros.I guess you can afford that.
Then, protection policy is not so simple as you think. We're talking about money here. There are many protections that are difficult to bypass/crack.Out Of The Park Baseball 10 has a difficult protection too (e-license or smth like this).

No, it doesn't work.

Even know it was released AFTER the latest patch and was never nuked the Fade still activates.

First, it's not up to you to decide who can or cannot afford anything. You don't know their situation in life. Second, I don't think any game that isn't a good game in it's vanilla form, is worth buying. Why should you buy their game if it's shit out of the box and requires community mods to remove bugs and make it playable?

That's the sole reason I haven't played this game. Just like ARMA, it was plagued with bugs and performance issues on release. They don't deserve my money.

I know what the purpose of this forum is, it's why we're all here. But the bullshit reasons are starting to get old. Can't afford it? What you just found a gaming rig in a dumpster? Don't deserve your money? Bullshit, if you feel like playing it. At least be fucking honest with yourselves.

Ugh, I feel like I'm getting much, much worse performance than I should be getting. Running a 5870 and a Phenom II X4 940, and I go down to about 15-20 fps during medium-sized battles (a tank or two and 30-ish infantrymen).

Which patch and what settings?
(AA will hit performance and the scaling AA will really hit performance, view distance is also quite demanding although at higher values it'll lower other settings to compensate.)

EDIT: Then again the game is quite demanding and especially during larger battles and complex environments like cities due to AI calculations and CPU requirements, quad should be fine but it'll still affect performance even for higher clocked models.

1.05, settings are on high/very high. Viewdistance is about 1000. AA is off. My options don't seem to matter though, so I guess it must be an issue with my CPU.

A bit off-topic I suppose: I'm upgrading my CPU to an i7 in the near future, though I also need a new Mobo for it. Which i7 would offer the most value for money, while also being quite future-proof?

As far as I know about the i7 series I would say something like the 920 or 940, the only difference after that up to the 975 (980 having more cores.) is clock speeds which can easily be remedied with a decent fan or similar cooling solution. Smile
(Price increases quite a bit for no real benefit as you can just clock it yourself compared to the super expensive higher end models.)
