that movie was so fucking off the wall, it was a shitload of fun. i like films that are not annoying and dont take themselves seriously (without PURPOSEFULLY trying to be a comedy). its a fun as hell film.
Billionaire Nerio Winch is found dead, drowned. An obviously suspicious death as Nerio is the founder and majority shareholder of the powerful and sprawling W Group. Who will inherit this financial empire? Officially, Nerio had no family. But he had a secret he kept well-hidden: a son, Largo, adopted nearly thirty years before from a Bosnian orphanage. The only problem is this young heir has just been thrown in prison deep in the Amazon. Accused of drug trafficking, he claims he's innocent. Nerio murdered. Largo in prison. What if these two events were part of a plot to take control of the Winch empire.
I was kinda suprised by this movie ... havent noticed it before

Looks like my 6 years old daughter gives a 9/10 for the movie. She's watching it again this morning.

You let your 6 year old daughter watch a movie that is rated 18?

maybe his daughter isnt a complete wuss like most parents are turning their kids into?
the film is just crazy ass fun.
Exactly, my daughter loves Zombie movies/games, she even have her own Left 4 Dead Shirt and L4D stickers on her lunch box.
My daughter can watch whatever she wants atleast by seeing monster on TV she understand that it belongs on TV and not hidden in the closet/under the bed
When i was a kid, the Michael Jackson Thriller video clip scared the shit out of me and not because it was MJ and i was a kid but because my parents never let me watch horror movies so then i was scare to go outside cause i thought Living Dead poeple will come out of the sewer that was right in front of my house.
Its all about teaching your kids the perceptions of things.
Very poor acting. All I could think about was 'has Mel Gibson always been like this ?'.
He just plainly sucks in this movie.
The Horseman 8,5/10
Immediately watched this after seeing EoD and wow, this is how you make a revenge movie that grabs you by the throat and makes you feel uncomfortable from the very start.
Zombieland 7/10
Can't say I really enjoyed it, but I wasn't bored either, so I'll take that as a good sign
Eden Lake 8,5/10
Expected nothing and must say I'm was truely surprised (in the most positive sense). Makes you feel as this is something that can really happen and that's a very unsettling thought.
The Fourth Kind 7/10
What can I say; I fell for it, looking stuff up in Google etc.
Ghost in the Shell 2 - Innocence 10/10 (for me)
Watched it for the 8th time; I LOVE this movie and the whole GitS universe !
9/10. Haven't watched this in a while, but the new BR release gave me an excuse to watch it again... the film stock Spielberg used is pretty grainy sometimes and contrast is pretty blown out in some scenes (which can diminish detail and make the picture look soft at times), but it still looks pretty good on the upgrade to bluray
Now that Spielberg is releasing stuff on BR hopefully we see Jurassic Park on BR in the near future. I'd hope for the Indy trilogy but given George Lucas' involvement we probably won't see that anytime soon :/
Just watched A Scanner Darkly. For those who don't know, its a CGI movie adaption of a book written by Philip K. Dick.
This movie, for me, is very very close to what I think is 'perfect' and it strikes me in a way that no other films do. Its not my favorite film, in fact far from it, but as a spectacle, and as a film its absolutely amazing. I'm a really big fan of Phillip K. Dick's work and this film is as closer to the true PKD style than any of the other films (MR, Bladerunner etc). Phillip has an amazing ability to leave an overwhelming yet very subtle dark atmosphere to all of his stories and this film is a very good example of what I think Phil would have wanted.
Highly recommended if you havent seen it already, its also the movie adaption to one of my all time favorite books of the same name I think that was my (5th) viewing and I saw something differently each time. The story is very good, but also very bleak and depressing towards the end.. a very sad story overall for me. It tells the true tale of hard drug addiction without all of the pretentious bullshit. But of course, Very, very good stuff..
what i mean is those kids fucking annoyed me... and the soldiers or whatever the fuck, totally frustrated me by how inept they are. i KNOW that in these kinds of movies, characters are supposed to be idiots (in fact i argued this point with someone in this EXACT same situation, saying how annoyed HE was at the characters), but i can only take so much before it turns me off of the movie.
i still want a movie to be enjoyable, and i just cant enjoy a movie where people dont even manage to use basic common sense, and run around like complete and utter morons that in all likelihood cant even tie their own shoes or blow their own noses, without completely fucking it up.
chiv you are so funny. When everybody else said the same things you went fanboi on me and defended this type of movies without actually haven seen rec2.
"but you don't have to take it serious!1111 just watch it for teh phun!!"
