Is this another game viral add ?

you seen this?
Reports are surfacing that mysterious USB flash drives are appearing on the doorsteps of game-related companies and various high-profile gamers. Joystiq was one of the recipients. The drive itself offered nothing save for one audio file and one simple text file containing the words Cryptography, Isotope, Philanthropy, Hydrogen, Ember, and Rebirth. Weird.
Joystiq said that the audio file offered electronic voices and a sequence of letters and numbers read by a female voice: M O D [sound of 3 chimes] Z Z Z J N Q R Y D 3 F R P. A male voice added more, saying "What we wish, we readily believe, and what we ourselves think, we imagine others think also."
Eventually Joystiq followed the clues and was lead to this strange website.

GK Persei (also Nova Persei 1901) was a bright nova occurring in 1901 1500 light-years away
GK Nova

One of the best-known fast novae. Discovered on Feb. 23, 1901, it quickly reached a maximum of magnitude 0.2, rivaling Capella and Vega, before dropping back to second magnitude 6 days later, and sixth magnitude two weeks after the peak.
6 days later, and sixth magnatude?

Looks like Markmonitor is just some registrar service - they have nothing to do with the thing, whatever it is.

I hadn't seen this before, but now that I have and read all the clues, i think it's cool as fuck! Very Happy Somewhat disappointed that it's probably a new CoD-game, I was hoping for something more unique, or you know, different.

Sad

Bet those game journalists etc. are so used to these that if you put some effort into packaging and such, I bet they'd just stick any memory stick sent to them right into their computers. Could pull off some evi, evil stuff if you were so inclined... Twisted Evil
