wow dicking around freely has never been so much fun since spiderman 2(this is my first AC game).

anyways i'm running the game at 1440x900 but there are some ugly black borders at the top and bottom of the screen... any idea how i can make the image fit the whole screen?

when running at 1280x720 it's full screen but obviously the problem is that it's at 1280x720 only >_>.

Game is 16:9 only. These "black borders" will appear on any non-16:9 resolution.

Yeah it's "anamorphic" or what it was called, Eyefinity scaling improved with the first patch for those who use it but it doesn't do much else.
(Quite CPU hungry and uses a bit of RAM but otherwise pretty well optimized considering it tries to render a entire city, although mostly in lower detail LOD's, and large crowds of NPC's.)

The viewing distance at which the LOD levels start to change is pretty bad though. You almost need to be with your face against the wall to see it decent quality/shadows, and all those waves seen as LOD changes are annoying too.

You'd think cs forums would be a better source of info on the cracking progress, than this forum...well at least it would be coming directly from the source Smile

From what I could understand in the article, they still leave it as a question whether or not this game is fully cracked, or if it can be fully cracked at all. But the way I see it now, it's just a matter of time. Unless something suddenly changes.

What is the most complete values.db?

The one that comes with the SPiRE release or the one with 1800 pairs?

That's because the SPIRE release is full of useless lines. The SPIRE values.db is the exact same as Dormine's of when he released the emulator.

You need to play from start to finish and record data, not your saves. You saves are actually useless because you can't replay missions after you complete them. Smile

I see, well then I'm not gonna be much help, because I don't have a pressing need for completing the game a third time right now, sorry.

Just some bullshit about us thinking we cracked AC2 but the game still having too many triggers to be finished properly.

Play the game with the right tool in background, which captures any communication between the game and ubisoft server. This tool should record this communication, so when the "cracked" game sents this kind of message server emulator will look up the right answer and sent it back to the game. Kind of "man in the middle" attack. As far as I know there isn't any such tool publieshed for us. Maybe the server emulator has such option.

Hi I just installed AC2 and got the server files as well but when I started the server.exe and also the game it keepys saying: internet connection needed, can't find ubi server......

I think my Ubisoft Game Launcher is not the right version. Does anyone knows how do I update the Ubisoft Game Launcher to the right version? Thanks.

Remove the lines from your hosts file, run cmdline "ipconfig /flushdns" (as admin), start the launcher, let it patch and update. When it wants you to log in, close all the windows down, re-add the lines to your hosts file and do another flushdns and voila.

Thank you it worked! Very Happy [/quote]

Right near the beginning of the game, I go to a viewpoint near a river, I look around, and when I go back down and try to access the area right next the bridge of the river, it's still blocked by the animus white lines.

Is this a issue of an incorrect value or is this really supposed to happen in the game do I need to unlock something first?

It has nothing to do with incorrect values, simply you still aren't able to reach that part of the city at the beginning Wink
