Python and all? (It used something like that didn't it?)
100MB+ crack for just a EXE.
(A bit over-done perhaps but some cracks really blow up the file size from the original whatever they do with them, early SecuROM 7 workarounds for example.)

well well well...looks like the drm is open for the comunity for free and it didn't take too long
GOOD:D now everyone will see if this game worth any money or if it suck bull balls, but more important is that splinter cell conviction will probably use the same protection;)

No version 0.31 i think its only 3mb and its all included no need for other programs
It uses the same stuff, as will Prince of Persia and Ghost Recon Future Warfare or what it was called and probably all their other upcoming titles.
(EA will probably also use their online system in upcoming titles like Dead Space 2 PC whenever it's ported, Crysis 2 and whatever else they have planned for release, that system fell rather quick though so it might not be much of a problem, Ubisoft on the other hand seems to use a lot of these "triggers" for various events which makes it a bit more difficult.)
Ofcourse AC2 is more open than Splinter Cell and now with the basics down I guess a crack or loader or what to call this method will be much faster.
(Settlers 7 and Silent Hunter IV would probably be problematic as well.)
Hacking the uPlay extras would be nice if possible to unlock the rest of the content, for AC2 it's just the bonus "dungeon" to explore, a larger knife belt upgrade and Altair's outfit but for titles like Splinter Cell there's a new game mode (part of the limited edition.), SCAR-H rifle and stealth suit.
(Silent Hunter IV has two bonus missions and a camouflage skin pack and Settlers has a fantasy theme map I think it was, castle decorations and a new setting to use in maps "extreme" resource amount I think it was.)
... but more important is that splinter cell conviction will probably use the same protection;)
And they'll delay it for 6 months and upgrade the protection. Don't get me wrong, it's cool that they are bypassing this DRM, but in the end of the day, it's Ubi who calls the shots, and i'm afraid that if they fail, they screw us and stop supporting PC.

It will be the same maybe but its not sure if there will be people who will bother to collect all values for Splinter Cell , Prince Of Persia etc.
@ Pl@tinum , even with piracy above ubi head, they still sale very nice and i guess they will never giveup this very good sales.
maybe without piracy, just maybe, they will sale even more, but i believe piracy only help the popularity of product and if the product is good it will sale better. (only imo)

They wouldn't fail if they just used Steam.
I mean look at Modern Warfare 2. What is it? 5 months after release and it's still in the top 5 best selling games on Steam!
Seriously though, aside from the obvious bribe by Activision, if they just used Steam for protection, they'd get a lot more sales. Instead, what they got were a bunch of dudes sitting around and waiting. GG Ubi.
Just tried "Tomb 3 - Torre Grossa's Secret Part" and im missing a lever at the very beginning of the tomb. Interestingly i am not the only one. One reporting from 3 weeks ago, so is this an actual game bug or what?
This is a walkthrough of the scene in question:

Who cares with their crappy ported games.....for a sample pick rainbows six vegas 2.....they still didnt fix the sound bug after almost 3 years.....a company like that may close the doors in my eyes

Like they did with the C&C 4 crack, they waited for someone to steel the ideas and repack everything.....really original
Ubisoft surely lost me as a buyer. AC2 is a great game, I'm loving all the new features that they introduce on this one and I'm most certainly loving the historical context of the game. The problem is I simply don't have an internet connection where I usually am.

Hey! Better than nothing ! And many are still waiting for RDL release - by then you'll know the cracking process is complete, eveything works from start to finish and you can safely start playing^
after talking to that guy you saved i dont know his name but you talk to him and he gives you a codex page and tells you the names of people you have to eliminate, after that i get no more missions

You have to start the game normally (without editing the hosts file or running the server) and let the game launcher update to the latest version. After that it should work.
