well its a pitty that you are the one that doesn't know what you are talking about..
just cause RLD releases something after a p2p crack doesn't mean that they simply copied the method.. a scene crack is competely different.

Let's read the RLD NFO together:

Quote:
* When you're blocking C&C 4 from firewall, make sure you allow connection
to 127.0.0.1 (loopback to your PC), or else the game won't work
.
* You can update the game by running the original CNC4.exe,
so back it up.
* The BONUS PRE-ORDER mission is available.

What you think the bold part means, genius? Laughing

You know how easy it is to pack a few files in one EXE? There are one click tools that even do it for you. Smile
So first it was no server emulator. Now it's one EXE. What's next? Razz

What? Resource packing and you can just pack other exes inside the main one and then launch them as separate processes at runtime, it's actually quite easy. And since the rld "crack" needs the localhost loopback open it means it IS feeding packets back to the main exe, so yes: rld crack IS a server emulator.

I am pretty sure they have used another way they don't need to pack serveral exe into one exe don't you know history of RLD ?
I am to lazy to prove it actually so just think what you wanna think I don't really give a fuck.

As you can see, new Tweets are glorifying UBISoft DRM which has so far been successful against PC game pirates. But is it the best future protection? We don’t think so. “It withstood all the efforts to get cracked.” All? Not all. Several folks in a well known Russian underground community (CS.RIN.RU) are working on a server emulation patch – and they’ve been partially successful so far and have apparently got the game to work until sequence 5. Their method involves playing a legit copy of the game, logging all responses that come from UBISoft servers and building a complete server emulator. However to make the emulator complete, they will have to explore the game 100% which is a time consuming process. Be that as it may, this clearly shows that UBI’s DRM is not as invincible as it is claimed to be.

Haha! Such a simple idea. Who would've thougth about such a simple hack? Razz
Yeah it's a dirty work, but it's such a dumb hack for such a 'tough' protection.

Ubi can update at any time and any legit copy would have to update to continue playing - so if they update before all the responses are captured it could be back to square one for a release.

Also even if it works for this game whats to stop them encrypting the traffic for the next game.

Its stupid to think that Ubi havent considered all this.

Moving forward are groups really going to bother 100% completing a game just to release it.

Ubi have really pissed on the pirates parade with this especially after all the cracked in 24 hours claim....

They will find another way!

Well it's too late to make an impact on AC2, but if this thing works, it might affect their future games, since now people will know when or if to expect a working crack. But then again, the DRM will still do it's job if it makes those not willing to wait buy the game.

You don't seem to know what encryption implies... the transmission itself *is* already encrypted as far as I can see, but when the data arrives to your end it still needs to be decrypted to be used, so your game client decrypts the data when it gets it. So in the end, you still get the decrypted data one way or the other.

The only "threat" is if Ubi changes the protocol and updates the game before they finish collecting all the server responses.

We need to wait for someone to finish the game while logging it and then the scene can copypaste the emulator

Also this method can be used to crack any ubisoft DRM game without modification

Cool if this is true then i have my hopes for the new Ghost Recon game Very Happy

Well, i just gave that method a try and it worked. So far, to be honest, game looks mediocre and not so marvellous as some may apply. Anyway, as far as save games are concerned, if i exit the game, will i be able to continue from where i left off?
