It'll take longer then you think, EVERY part of the game must be played / explored. Collecting items, selectinig missions, succeeding / failing them. And the responses all logged, the emu server records them in a file, and thats what gets uploaded for others to use. It works but up to only where its logged to, you cant go further or it freezes..
Someone with a full active version, must be / is playing it & logs the responses into the file. Gonna take quite some time as it needs to be played thru to the end. Nice job anyways, at least you can test it to a point.

i think this is great. not so much that the game is being pirated, but rather that some one always has an idea, and always comes up with a plan and figures out a way around it. its great not from a piracy standpoint, but just marveling at sheer human ingenuity... its brilliant, things like this really make me smile (again, not because of the piracy side of things)
even if it is a pretty awkward 'long way round' way of getting it done, doesnt matter. shit always starts somewhere.

Well, Dark Athena took at least a month to crack (and that was just Tages) and yes I know it has never been fully cracked by scene standards but it works ok, just saying...

No worries, once p2p crack is released (tools are even out already), RLD nubs will gather for the next game and play it to have a fast scene release...

it's from the cracked or original?
EDIT:
well,I guess the method to crack the game has been found, still some new work needed to be done, tough.
Ubisoft will have to remove the protection, after that.

Quote: | As you can see, new Tweets are glorifying UBISoft DRM which has so far been successful against PC game pirates. But is it the best future protection? We don’t think so. “It withstood all the efforts to get cracked.” All? Not all. Several folks in a well known Russian underground community (CS.RIN.RU) are working on a server emulation patch – and they’ve been partially successful so far and have apparently got the game to work until sequence 5. Their method involves playing a legit copy of the game, logging all responses that come from UBISoft servers and building a complete server emulator. However to make the emulator complete, they will have to explore the game 100% which is a time consuming process. Be that as it may, this clearly shows that UBI’s DRM is not as invincible as it is claimed to be. |

What is not scene legit exactly? They can use the logger internally and release a repackaged crack, exactly like they did with Command & Conquer 4; few days after p2p server emulator, RLD comes out with a crack.

If you can't reverse the executable since there's nothing to reverse, I don't see why an emulator shouldn't be a proper release... I know nukers are often idiots following scene rules to the letter, but this, as with C&C4, is a "special" case I think.

Say, is there any way to get the 3 DLC missions from the Black Edition for the standard version of the game? I was shortly playing with the thought of buying it but the BE was sold out shortly after it was released and fuck lol I'm not getting an inferior version with some of the content missing. Buying a downloadable version is a no, I'm not paying full price for a game that comes without packaging.

You have no idea what you are talking about. This is how the game is built, to receive and transmit data from a server. RLD/RZR/etc. won't rewrite the whole game's code just so you can to "scene legit crack is cracked exe clean of protection code". And indeed, the C&C4 crack is a server emulator. Time will tell if the same is with Ubisoft games as well.

If it doesn't work, it is yet another game with Ubisoft DRM for you to support.

Yeah, just remember the early Steam games, dumbasses were nuking them as "homemade" because they didn't have a clue about what is Steam and how it works...
