RedTacton is a new Human Area Networking technology that uses the surface of the human body as a safe, high speed network transmission path.
- RedTacton uses the minute electric fieldemitted on the surface of the human body. Technically, it is completely distinct from wireless and infrared.
- A transmission path is formed at the moment a part of the human body comes in contact with a RedTacton transceiver. Physically separating ends the contact and thus ends communication.
- Using RedTacton, communication starts when terminals carried by the user or embedded in devices are linked in various combinations according to the user's natural, physical movements.
- Communication is possible using any body surfaces, such as the hands, fingers, arms, feet, face, legs or torso. RedTacton works through shoes and clothing as well.

Well, nevertheless... the first personal computer (i.e. the first piece of electronics anyone could get their hands on, that behaved more or less like a modern computer on some level) would be the Simon, introduced as a how-to in 1950-1951 in a series of Radio Electronics issues. Note that since that time, over 50 years have passed since the item's public introduction, and it's still not mature. If we follow the computer's model of evolution (not likely since the PC was a freak in the sense that it did not crawl up and die after a few years' worth of booming.) My prediction is that by the time this is introduced, it'll go into the low end of the market, with cheap but effective wireless-on-a-chip technology crowding it for space. Since the moment this thing detatches from your skin, the contact is broken, it's already at a disadvantage to wireless, which will by that time be capable of a similar form factor, power consumption, effecive range, and price. It will have a small market share, and may either die or stay there, depending on how well it is advertised.
note: http://www.blinkenlights.com/pc.shtml used as a reference to "first personal computer" claim.
Of course, if they manage to make the thing bulletproof in terms of security, it could become the next passport, thus crowding out the feeble efforts of RFID wireless to take over the market. This would guarantee it a good lifespan. That and the fact that swiping your hand at a counter that has an RFID detector for the goods and this for payment, would be more convenient then waiting for some 15-year old crater-faced dimwit who cares more about the female 15-year old crater-faced dimwit two stations over than about getting your check right, and as a result, commonly fails in that task, not to mention takes forever. That, or putting your hand on a pad and looking into a camera at the airport. The pad securely takes information from this tech and your fingerprints, the camera takes a reference photo and scans your reticle. All this is done in 2 seconds, and thus you have to go through less lines at the airport. Thus, you have 4 ways of identification (3 of which are checked, 1 kept for reference and conflict resolution) in 2 seconds. The current method has 2 methods (visual confirmation and passport confirmation), which take about a minute.

Yeah but don´t you think it will take a good number of years until we have that on the market for everyone to buy? With games and everything?

Maybe some years but you will be alive at least unless you're 70, 80 or something, lol.
