heh yeah easy sounds good.
btw, has anyone else experienced audio glitches?
It happened a few times that at the beginning of a cutscene the audio would skip around like mad for a second or two until it went on as if nothing happened.

I never heard any on my wife's game or my own. I heard it only happened on older non slim ps3 models.

i have a chubby too after playing some more last night. geez i hate to be one "those people" off the 'net but this might be the best looking shit i have ever played in my life. the music in hades is so... i dunno how to explain it. just really fits.
i have never played a game before that made me want to go shake someone's hand and tell them good job and i am proud to have given you $64.19 for this, oh and btw here's another 20 to put some gas in that ferrari. these guys really deserve good things for this.
as far as overall fun and play through experience goes - which would you guys say is better - this or uncharted 2? i really enjoyed uncharted and thats when i realized my ps3 purchase was money well spent. i got uncharted 2 at christmas and still haven't opened it. i'm saving it for a rainy day or the right time because i'm expecting it to be really good. just curious how it stacks up.

We bought our ps3 in November, and bought uncharted 1 then as well.. and still haven;t cracked it yet.
We burned through God of War 1, 2 and then Bioshock 1,2, and then of course God of War 3.
I'm half way through Batman now, and then will follow it up with either Uncharted, Dante's inferno, Darksiders, or Bayonetta, which we've already picked up.
I still need to run through the Metroid Collection on our Wii as well. That'll keep my busy for the next few months, and thts still not counting all the games we have unfinished or unstarted here!

I also liked uncharted 1&2 a lot, and 2 definitely had some very impressive stuff, but I prefer god of war 3. I'd say comparing them based on my personal experience, uncharted 2 is about equal to god of war 3 without the boss fights. there's just nothing in uncharted 2 that comes to close to fighting a titan in gow3.
they're both awesome though, so let's say I give gow3 a 9.4, then uncharted 2 gets a 9.1 or something.

Well it looks like I spoke too soon. I'm right at the end of the game at the fight that garreee mentioned on the previous page and just before it started I had some terrible slowdown, actually it ground to a halt. I have subs on so I know that I missed some audio and it glitched during the entire scene. It happened once previously just before during the cutscene right before the  Spoiler: | first fight with Zeus |
It may be worth noting that I had no issues at all until I installed the update today so maybe it has something to do with that?

Well then it's probably just coincidence but it's funny that I didn't have a single issue for the first 14 hours of play but then had similar problems twice within 5 minutes of each other during the half hour or so that I played today. Don't you think?

Coulda been an overheating problem. Especially if this was at the end of a long play session.
But the developers only released a quick initial patch to address code issues they said they had reading wireless controls to pick up on the shoulder button presses.
They also supposedly did a quick mini fix for the game save issues some have experienced, but never saw any, other then console save space issues.

good to know about uncharted 2. any time i know a game is going to be really good i normally savor that shit and take my time getting to it and playing it. same with a book.
edit - i haven't encountered the audio issue yet. might be worth noting what type of connection you have into your tv. i'm using hdmi. i had weird audio crackling noises during gow and gow2 off the collection disc and when i switched from component to hdmi the crackling quit happening - unrelated to this but just thought i'd mention it.

Anybody also had problems with garden of olympus? I solved Hera's puzzle and have to get across the gap by harpies. I seem to run of the harpies too soon, the last harpy always stops too far from the edge and I fall down. For some reason I can't use Icarus wings when jumping from the harpy.

icarus wings should work fine when jumping from harpies if I remember correctly.
about the audio issues, I have a 40gb fat ps3 and had audio glitches at the beginning of cutscenes sometimes. this is over hdmi.
it only lasted like a second or something, so it didn't bother me much, but it was definitely weird.

Incredible.
UC2 is by far my favorite game on the PS3. Every single second is beautifully crafted and action packed with awesome. Not to mention the graphics are absolutely stunning.

but, in a nutshell, Its the game I replay every now and again to remind myself for all the shiny brown quick time event space marines console gaming is still worth it to wait for these quality games to come around.

that was without a doubt one of the best games i have ever played. the puzzles could have been a little more complex and required some more thought but i really can't say anything bad. that's the first game i've played in a long time that didn't suffer from a bunch of annoying shit.
i just tried chaos mode. i can't see me finishing the game on that... waaaay too hard for me.

So, this week I bought myself a new reciever for my little home cinema (PioneerVSX- LX52), and GoW3 also arrived in the mail. Today, I sat down and played the two first hours of the game. And first off, the new reciever is so fantastic, such awesome sound, really gave new life to my 5.1 setup. The sound was great with the old one aswell, but this one has a lot more control over the sound and speaker calibration/settings, really took it all to a new level.
The reason im mentioning this is, is because both visually (106" of HD-glory!) and aurally pretty damn epic - I was so immersed with the opening scenes, totally blown away! If only more games could be this awesome in terms of epicness 
And I'm sorry if im sounding like im trying to brag here, I'm really not, it's just that I wish I could invite you all to experience this, it's just that good

When we started playing GOW3, we blew one of the speakers on our system. It turned out my older speakers were underpowered to handle our newer stereo, so I order two sets of sony speakers to replace them.
The new speakers are a WORLD of difference apart from our old ones, which are really only 4 years old or so.
Cool thing is, I can use two of our older speakers as the read surround speakers, so I can upgrade our whole stero experience from 5.1 to 7.1.
It took me a while, but I finally found and ordered the amp needed for our upgrade.
OT, are ps3 games 5.1 or mostly 7.1 audio? I never looked.

Just finished aswell, my god the game is epic. This is pretty much best game i have ever played, insane graphics and sounds aswell :> Boss fights are so fucking EPICCCCCCC!

i think i'm gonna do another run through on titan but i'm gonna use that glitch so you start off with all weapons maxed out. problem is you have to do all the challenges first and i'm having a hard time doing the one where you have to kick everyone's ass in a certain amount of time with no weapons.

lol happened to me too... took like a week to dissipate but you just made it start again. aarggh
in the no weapons challenge you'll have to grab the small guys and ram against the big guys. use not quicktime events, just keep grabbing and charging into the bigger enemies. if you're lucky you can also get the big guy to fall off the arena.
personally I just kept charging at them for damage and it was just barely enough time, like 1 second remaining.
it does decent damage but a lot can go wrong, just keep trying.
