Maybe we gonna see footage of it? And it's official. This cards are inside of the Awakening boxes. Btw, DA:O's PC version was finished early 2009 and got delayed cause of the console versions. This is why Stone Prisoner got finished and was included in the retail versions after all.
Enough time for them actually if they are as enthusiastic as they were with DA:O.

Somebody asked for mini-image for Awakening.
Now there is one by NETSHOW at GCW. It includes both Alcohol/DT and Virtual CD version of the mini-image.

Hey, I was playing Awakening and have problems with text. A lot of skills and items don't have description, characters don't have names, and worst of all it skips conversations. There's a problem with text.

Some issue with the talk "table" file perhaps, run the \redist\DAO_UpdateAddinsXml.exe file to re-register the addon (It's kinda like a DLC in a way.) and I'm not sure it'll work if the base game uses one langauge and the DLC uses another language.
(Different talktable files, might be something on the mod sites for this though like the mods allowing DLC to work better with Awakening like how Wardens Keep doesn't overwrite armor and weapon textures - starfang and the vigilance sword conflict mainly from what I've read, Dragon Age Nexus might be the better but social.bioware.com also has a lot of mods and utilities but harder to browse.)

Super easy game is super easy. Also less emphasis on characters which was one of the best things about Origins. I think Dragon Age Origins before it was patched had a pretty good challenge... this however is unbalanced. It's like they outsourced the development of the game because it doesn't seem like the people who made Origins made Awakening.

What the FUCK?!
Spoiler: | [rant]Just went into the silverite mines, and did the whole thing naked. In the beginning, I lost all my equipment when they captured me. And my main char's stuff just diappeared. So I went googling and found out that it's a bug! To make matters worse, my last savegame is 3 hours back as I tend to use quicksaving! How the flying fuck could a bug like this make it to the final version of the game?! It's simply intolerable. I tolerated the shitload of crashes I got in some parts of the game, but this is just ridiculous. This is not quality... this is shit. SHIT I tell ya. Did noone ever test this? The bug is fuckin' reproducible, how hard would it be to find this during testing? And now I have to do the same shit I did for the last 3 hours all over again because some fuckwit failed to implement the quest with DA:O items correctly. How fuckin' great.[/rant] |
Other than that the game is actually not that bad, but as others have said, it's way too easy. Defeating 2 dragons naked was funny, but in a pathetic kinda way.

I finished the "Awakening" yesterday and did enjoy it very much. I actually like that it was easier than the original DragonAge, which was sometimes too frustrating and difficult (on "normal") for my taste (especially the early boss fights).
Assumed that you imported your old hero, it makes even story-wise sense, because you are now the Warden-commander, demon-slayer and so on... so a normal darkspawn monster cant be really a threat for you, can it? I enjoy if my char feels powerful in an roleplaying game. Sure, there is some overkill of abilities and magic items now (especially for mages), but remembering the lack of item variety in the original game I enjoyed the micro-management for the party-members now to equip them with the best gear.
I only wished that at the end when you have the choice to save the city or your fortress, it would have been great to do both battles, one with your hero and the other with the party members you left behind at the fortress (similar to the finale in DragonAge when you use all party members again). That would have been a perfect ending.
regards

When You reach awakening You'll be able to respec Your character. Other then that, there was a mod (unofficial) that gave You the same possibility through a raven, or something like that, situated in Your camp. There should be no problem with importing. Awakening installs patch 1.03 but saves are compatibile throughout all patches so far. For a game of DA's size it would be a problem if there were not.

Well yeah, but when you reach a certain enemy one of your companions says he's got my items... And honestly its almost impossible to miss.

No, I had no mods installed. Just items from DA:O. But they were official. Not even DLC stuff.

Oh my, thanks! I never would have though so... fighting to get it back... wow, you sir are a genious! Still, you could try reading the post first for the desired effect... I though I wrote that I went through the level naked. Also that I killed 2 dragons naked. I didn't say that I ran back and forth the whole level 6 times opened everything that's openable (including 2 cans of beer, but even that failed to help). I though that it's pretty much self explanatory.
Quote: | Well yeah, but when you reach a certain enemy one of your companions says he's got my items... And honestly its almost impossible to miss. |
Yeah, my companions have their stuff. My main char on the other hand... not so much. There was supposed to be a chest that contains the main char's stuff but it turns up empty. Every time. So honestly, it's impossible to find it! At least for me. And as I said, other than stone prisoner, I don't have any DLCs active and my stuff was 100% vanilla, mix of DA:O and DA:A. So it's not that I'm whining because of the loss of my custom made, godmode armor from whatever game.
Quote: | The game does say the items are in some dudes room though |
And this is where the bug is. The chest is empty... Well some people say that there's supposed to be a 4th experiment... if there was, it never spawned for me...
Anyway, a word of advice if you're still playing the game: before you enter the silverite mines, SAVE IN A NEW SLOT! It could save you loads of time and trouble caused by this goddamned bug.

Wow, so quick to jump on the bandwagon. Calling someone and idiot is a weird thing to do, especially if you don't know dick about the subject yourselves, no? Right, my post won't win me any awards in the ways of speech, but I was quite pissed. Actually, I still am. And rightly so. The link above shows that I'm right to be and Bioware, or whoever made this royally fucked up in the quality department. As to why I was to pissed, some of us, who actually work have only 2 or maybe 3 hours to play a day. So in a word this little thing just cost me 2 days of playing.
