I never thought that I'll miss the Mako controls, but Hammerhead it's frag fest pain in the arse. I remember that in the original ME, i was existing from Mako to fight the enemies. Why, wou will ask... There is a very simple answer. You get full XP if you fight on foot, while killing the enemies with the Mako will grant you just a very small amount of the XP.
And the Hammerhead missions are absolutely awful. Indeed "meaningful" DLC.

Yeah, not too impressed. Disappointed, I was hoping it would actually be good this time. Bioware is terrible at DLC.

This was not BioWare's idea.
It happened that one day an EA high official went to BioWare's offices and "suggested" that a pew pew laser uber machine shit would be nice to have in game; ya' know, ta shoot da bad guyz and Saren and shiet wit bigz explsionz.

The "meaningful' DLC are continuing to elude the Bioware development team due to the involvement of the EA execs. We should expect moar of za ubar weapons, new kewl armorz and of coarz new costumz packz ( at least 3 of them, as there will be 12 characters, once Kasumi it's out).

I want to add something to the x64 discussion (even if it's offtopic):
Microsoft made it so that their x64 OS' only accept signed drivers, so if you have an app with drivers that are not signed they won't get loaded unless you disable signed driver enforcement every time you boot (in boot menu F8).

Even if it wasn't their idea as you suggest, it doesn't take away from the fact that pretty much every DLC they've ever released has been garbage. Pinnacle Station, BDtS, Zaeed, RtO, Wardens Keep, all mostly meaningless stupid buggy quests. It's especially disappointing when they've been saying how great and worthwhile all these things were going to be. Truly the only good DLC they've done was The Stone Prisoner, but only because that was created as once part of the original game.
lol I sound like a huge Bioware basher now, but I'm really not. & I do enjoy the DLC weapons, but those hardly count.

You can save yourself whenever you like except in battle.

And that means like towards the end of the mission, providing that you reach that area. As long as you are in the Hammerhead, you are not able to save. There are two mission where you get out of the damn vehicle and only for a brief time. The other three missions must be done fast and furious style ( not that the other two are in any way different)

You can't save anywhere while in Hammerhead.

How come this DLC adds a system with 4 Planets in the Krogan DMZ but there are no missions to be found there? (The DLC adds 6 systems and 5 missions)

Maybe you need to complete the other 4 first.

Not really. Even if you complete the missions, nothing comes on the scanner. Maybe it's a placeholder for a future DLC or just a system to get more resources ( not that you need those).

installed and game runs just fine with no problems with the update and none getting the game to recognize the new dlc.
i do see one tiny flaw with bringing in new dlc like this... theres no new voices, so it all feels kinda hollow and abstract, not integrated into the game n stuff... just seemed odd to score this wicked new hi-tech tank, and take it back to the ship, all without a word... woulda been nice to even just ring up seth green so that he can phone in ONE lousy line of dialog... one little joke or something, as he flies in to pick up the tank...
but oh well bring on the new character dlc.
oh, and nice to see garrus finally get a 'fixed' set of armor... though hes not exactly going to win any stealth points, glowing like that

It's pimp my armor time. Expect at least 3 more packs of those. I expect to see a pack that will replace Jack's skin and face, repair Garrus face and offer new faces for everyone:)

So, the last issue of the Redemption comic is coming on April 7th, gonna wrap up the Liara story. And I guess the Liara DLC that's coming after Kasumi is going to have something to do with it.
I'm wondering how much dialogue there will be with Kasumi on board the Normandy. So far it seems she's gonna be like Zaeed, throwing 2 or 3 lines at Shep after each mission. It sucks that you have to complete a mission to unlock new dialogue options, it took me until the Hammerhead DLC to get the conversations with Legion finished.

Finished the Hammerhead DLC and I still can't see why they didn't make planet side exploration in the main game or at least a few complex missions involving either the Mako or the Hammerhead. The four included are too bland for my taste but not that bad.
No Mako.
Reason: The new Normandy is bigger and heavier to do tactical insertions ergo that why we have a transporter.
Real reason: Bioware has learned to bend over for every moron that doesn't know how to drive the fucking vehicle and wines about it on the forum (boring exploration aside).
New Hammerhead
Shepard to Joker: I want the Normandy hovering five fucking feet above the planets surface so I can get this piece of shit out the hangar exactly like in the first one.
Joker: But won't that fuck with the ingame story/facts.
Shepard: Who gives a fuck anymore as long we make a quick buck in the future and get away with it. -> Renegade + 1000
