Yea the story is definitely unique and well told. I had to endure Defiance just to see how it all ends. Plus the series has my favourite voice actor of all time in it - Tony Jay (RIP) Sad

I played all the LoK games. All of them combined good stories with great gameplay as well except for defiance.

Does that site actually add anything to the games with a mod? Or is it simply a list of things which could've been in the game?

I remembered why I liked SR2 better than defiance: camera and movement!

SR2 had such better and simpler movement, where you used mouse, and in defiance you controlled the camera with mouse

in all honesty I thought the plot in defiance was the best...... one thing that annoyed me the most in all soul reaver games was that you had to go through the same place million times over (unlike blood omen). That is the reason I like blood omen more, especially the first one.

Blood Omen 2 was awesome !!!!
Soul Reaver 2 was good but repetitive. And it wasn't very "vampiric"

Soul Reaver 2 is one of my favourite games of all time. I was playing it like mad. Everything in this game was extraordinary: the graphics, the puzzles, voice-acting (Simon Templeman's voice suited Kain just perfectly) and the grim atmosphere.

I remember the plot to be very complicated. It involved time traveling (further expanded in Defiance) and large number of characters (each one with thier own motivations). It also touched the philosophical aspects of very existence: talking about one's destiny and free will.

I don't find this game to be repetitive. When we were coming back to previous location it was usually in different time so the landscape always changed a bit (e.g. either it was raining or snowing).

This title really deserves a remake but the gameplay itself shouldn't be changed (OK, maybe except for the combat system), let alone dumbed down for today's kids.

There isn't much hope for the sequel though. Those great scripts (inseparable parts of this series gorgeousness) were written by Amy Hennig and she left Eidos quite a while ago. (I would risk a statement she's one of the parents of Uncharted IP's huge sucess.)
