So I managed to play around with the russian crack for a while. I looked into several solutions for doing missions, this is what I found out while trying to bypass the DRM. Maybe some crackers look at this thread and find my information useful.
I have a savegame in the Montereggioni, right after you first meet Mario. When I try to do the training mission, the white screen occurs as always, but also, if I press escape, then resume game, the HUD loads and on the minimap, Ezio and the surroundings are visible. I can see on the minimap that he turns and I can hear switching weapons or drawing them. Therefore, I do not believe that the game downloads some files from Uplay, but only asks for permission. It might be possible to create a workaround to this, like with Photoshop CS4, making the game think that your computer is the Uplay server. However, it is likely that the connection is encrypted and it may be needed to understand how the Uplay servers work, in order to create a local fake server on your own PC. I believe that someone should look into that Skidrow SH5 crack and see how it works, AC2 should be no different. Again, I repeat that I doubt the game actually downloads any files from the Uplay server, it only updates savegames and requests permission at certain moments. Another way to disable this DRM is to remove the requests from the code of the game, at the certain points where the game asks confirmation from the Uplay server.
I hope this is useful and may help someone come up with a crack soon.

Yeah, it´s a 30m movie. Don´t except it to be awesome, but it´s a nice warm-up for the game, it´s basically about Ezio´s father as an assassin and it deepens a bit more intro Rodrigo Borgia. For 700mb it´s worth watching.
