Ok.. to beat those satyrs (the goat men) use the exile blades, and the L1- O attack.. it'll pull them towards you.
The cestus (gloves) are also effective against them.
The beat cerberus, I used the blades in the first battle, used the gorgon summon , do deal with the single goat man, and then beat on cerberus with first the exile blade magic, and then the cestus gloves, regular attack. Once that damned dog has been beaten, switch the the exile blades, and finish off the goatmen with the L1- O pull attack.
After the battle, be sure to snoop around, looking for the last minotaur horn, and lots of red weapon power up candy.
Now I'm battling with Zues.

Show me a game on the 360 that looks anywhere near as good as this, or uncharted 2 for that matter. You can't because there aren't any. There has to be a reason for that. |
I agree with MR Baggins. The graphics are good, very good in some parts, but its all smoke and mirrors. Hence you cant change the camera angle. How good this game looks has absolutely nothing to do with the hardware its running on, but how the developer coded it.
In some parts of the game, when fighting a bunch of cloned enemy's the graphics are actually a little sub par. But in other moments its amazing.
And don't get me wrong, i absolutely love this game and have been playing every night since launch, and it is a game worthy of picking up a PS3 becasue its and exclusive; but it could have easily been done on both consoles if it wasn't exclusive.
We should expect more and more games on both sides to keep upping the bar.
To think is becasue of hardware, and not great coding in nothing but FANBOY dribble. Its has been proven time and time again that both consoles are almost equal in processing power, they just handle things different.

Yeah thanks for the spoiler gareee. Anyway I'm about 12 hours in and I'm sure I'm right at the end and just about to come up on the fight that gareee mentioned.
I can't praise this games graphics enough. I'm amazed that they were able to do what the've done with this game and still on top of it all theres not a single jaggie in sight. Amazing.

Finished GOW2 last night and bought my copy of GOW3. Man that QTE at the end of 2 really sucked bawlz. I've played my 360 so long that everytime it says "X" i automatically push square. By the time my mind processes the difference in X and square i'm screwed. Hope there isn't a lot of that in 3. I'll be starting it in a few hours.
As for the PS3 vs 360 - I like them both although I personally dislike MS and their products. That being said I think the 360 blew its wad around a year ago.
p.s. - thanks for the spoiler tag asshole. not like i didn't see it coming anyway.

Also the QTE buttons appear on the side of the screen on which they are on the controller.
So:
triangle top
square left
circle right
X bottom
that may help you a bit in not mistaking it.

yeah, works pretty well. allows you to concentrate on what's going on and if you see something pop up on one side you just press the respective button.
the analogue quicktime events require a bit more attention but there's nothing new here compared to gow2 I think.

Sorry about that spoiler.. its tagged now properly.
I finally beat the game 2 days ago.. the last few battles are pretty nasty.
I DO like that the quicktime events were easier to follow, and also to actually see what was going on this time around.
It looks like you can pick up the missing trophys on anothet playthrough, even on easy difficulty level.
Things I missed you should look out for:
Kicking enough dogs
collecting all the godly posessions
If you get to Posidon's chambers, and haven't kicked enough dogs, there is an excellent dog spawn point there you can use for that trophy.
I need to find a web resource somnewhere that lists the godly posessions, and their locations.. I think I missed only one or two tops.
Only dowbside to completing GOW3...GOW withdrawl. Both my wife n myself just didn't feel like playing anything else for a day or so.. nothing ese is quite as "epic" as GOW3.

I've never been much about trophies at all, but there were just a few I missed.
And we are lucky..we have a 50" plasma to play it on here.. but I did blow one of our speakers half way through the game.. a replacement is already on order, but hasn;t arrived yet, so I just relocated it to a surround speaker instead of a main one.
I agree about the over use of the word epic, but nothing else really describes it.
I'm finishing off batman arkham asylum now, and everything seems slower, dingy and cramped no in comparision.

yeah.. I agree completely.
I finished gow3 on titan difficulty a few days ago and it was just so intsense and satisfying...
I still think about the boss battles with the awesome music all the time..
normally after I finish a game I'm happy to leave it be for quite some time (months or even years) before replaying it, but I think I'm gonna replay gow3 in a few days. I just want more.

I played through the posidon thing at the beginning on easy, just to see how easy it was.. its nice to relax, and just kick back and enjoy the visuals.
I'll probably use easy mode to get those few trophies I need.
We've also been playing the score here in the background.. love the music!
I keep looking at our pandora's box, and thinking of spucing it up to look more like real metal.

fuck.. 1st death on Hades boss fight. Loading checkpoint back up in a min, hope i dont lose another death here. Done well to get this far without dying!
got all the way to the chain climb before dying 10 times.
i may even go ahead and buy me another 50 some incher to put in my man cave so i can finish it in there in the dark. was playing in my bedroom last night and the wife comes in making noise and turning on lights and shit. it was really irritating like when some asshole comes into the theater 15 mins late making noise, talking loudly and with his cell phone glowing.
