the red dots on the maps are hospitals. I didn't notice they did anything, other than serve as spawn points when you die.
i'm missing one thing in this game: some stats. home many humans saved/killed, number of stuff i blew up, number of shards i have and how many there are, stuff like that. I liked looking at my stats in GTA

Yeah, knowing your stats would be of great help and it's unfortunate that given the high level of polish and detail the rest of the game has that they omitted such a thing. It'd be especially helpful for some of the trophies rather than simply guessing how close you are to completing them.

You can see a few stats when displaying your saved games.

How much play time is in this game? If it is one of those that can be beat in 8hours... i dunno.
I'm looking at making this my first experience on the PS3.
1 stripe purple belt in JiuJitsu (good grief this takes FOREVER hahah)

I did most of the side missions but i am still at 80% of the game, it took me the whole weekend + monday evening to reach the last mission so its at least 20hours for me.

been playing an average of 1h/day for the past week and a half, and i'm halfway through the second island. so yes it'll take you more than 8h to finish it.

you can download in for free from following website (pdf):

will you get a way to track down the shards later in the game?
There is an icon for them on the map screen so I guess you will get sth that shows everyone on there.

i dont understand you exactly but yes you can always go back to the 3 islands, and even when you complete the game you can still freeroam and complete sidequests but i suggest you do them before completing the game.

just to clarify I asked if there is a way to track down the shards or make them appear on the map
if you want them all you have to search a VERY long time until you got em all :/ so I guessed maybe there is some kind of help later to find them easier

As an owner of the 360 and having played Prototype, I can honestly say that Infamous is the better game IMHO.

yeah I feel the same way. I would give a 7.7/10 for Prototype and a 8.3/10 for Infamous

I felt like Infamous really pounced Prototype... but i think it has more to do with the story and the way it is presented more than anything.
I thought Prototype was a good/decent game... I just feel Infamous is much superior.

I agree with you on that, Sucker Punch did good. Thumbs up for them.

I have to say, the ending for this game was awesome. I did not see it coming, and it was well done. I played the "good guy" my first time through and now playing through as one badass mofo. The interesting thing is, knowing the ending, you can definitely see that the plot is well-written and planned out as there are some really well-done clues throughout the game that lead up to the revelations at the end. Great game!

ok just a quick question. i know its an old thread but only got a PS3 (again) 2 weeks ago.
so anyways Ive done 10 good side missions and go the corresponding powers.
im at hero level but the first 5 powers (when you choose powers after pausing to menu) I was only able to unlock the first level on each of these, the 2nd and 3rd level (hero level) remains unavilable???
will these become available later in the game, or did I miss something?
cleared the 1st 2 Islands and have just chosen to save the Drs (rather than Trish) on the 3rd.

So I need to do all 15 good side missions to unlock those 5 powers beyond their 1st level? Seems a bit uneven to me. Ive done 12 so far. Why have powers that you only need to be level 2 for to unlock be unavailable even beyond being a hero (level 3), just doesnt make sense to me.
