SPACE! as in Unlimited Data Space, my TB drive is full Sad Has anyone invented something like wireless networking but you can store your data in airwaves? That would be unlimited wouldnt it? If you can transfer data via wireless through the airwaves why cant it just stay in the airwaves and you pluk it out when you need it

Plus, what do you store that will clutter up your space? I delete movies after watching (except the special ones Very Happy), and I burn the series on dvd if I'm not watching them...

So what are you going to watch next week after you've finished watching those 3 docus, 1 season of 'The Hills' and the 2 Twilight movies? Razz

You really love revisiting old arguments and boy this one is old! In theory it is the same as the mp3 vs wav vs ogg vs flac vs etc argument. And how it all matters how 'high-end' a person's set-up is.

Ye ye, good luck seeing all the pimples on Robert Pattinson's face with all their glory on your XVIDs. Mad

BTW, funny how you can't even come up with one bad or funny or embarrassing documentary to suit the rest of your "witty" humor.

Yeah that's weird, when I watch blue ray documentaries on my sisters laptop, I can see all the pores on the people :\

some hardware is actually more expensive in UK than Norway. And remember some years ago beamers where cheapest in Norway (in Europe that is)

Dunno about other countries, but there are a BIG difference between netshops and actual electronic stores here.

Read long time ago about some diy NAS server made from an old pc and FreeNAS but doubt it would be as good as the real thing.

i thought about that as well. But i d love to have one with a decent raid5 controller, so it would cost kinda the same i guess, which makes it a mood point to build one myself. But i dont have money to waste at the moment anyways...

I keep just good movies which I watch periodically, one epic TV show (BGS; 262GB) and the 1080p documentaries I don't delete because they are so amazingly awe inspiring to see, that I just can't.

the main drain here are sample libraries (virtual instruments). Movies and games usually are deleted after playing or watching through or archived if good (bought if awesome)

My 4 Drive 6TB NAS (4.5 usable) is now 53% full.

Does anyone use DLT drives anymore. I was thinking of picking one up to backup my NAS, but there really pricey. I have one in my workstation at work (DLT-V4), but would love one at home.
