those god damn blobs are nonsense.. game ruiners. first off all you got hardly any amo.. so you end up using good amo on things that die in 1 shot anyway , when they explode they cover half of ur screen.. not to mention it looks ugly and for no reason fps goes 60-15 in a sec.. awesome.. , miller keeps getting raped by them.. and so do you if you try to save him.. bleh
is it worth to install that patch???
i dont have any problems in game.
afraid it will fuck something up
i am using razor release.. had no problems. instaled skidrow release.. had no problems.. didnt notice any changes either. update is just 617kb or so... so cant change much
If you are dying a lot that means you need to turn the difficulty down. Turn it back up after you pass a bit you're having issues with but complaining about your lack of skill doesn't wash. I maybe had to redo any given area once or twice.
WOW!
IMHO Most of the game was ridiculously easy. Finished it on the last difficulty setting dying 3-4 times and that was only by the motherf00kin librarians. VDV + military ammo headshots = get noticed after the 5th or 6th kill and you lose like a bullet per person. Learn to aim ppl.

Heh... maybe I should've. Only a few areas where difficult.
Still, I would rather if I fail not want to repeat same part over and over and over, and have actual saved games. It's usually annoying, that after you do around 60-70% of area between checkpoints, to die repeatedly. Always repeating those 60-70% becomes very boring.
Okay, I'm at the end of the chapter "Child" and I have zero filters. And unless I'm stupid it appears none of the merchants at the child's metro are selling filters either.
I need to go outside to the Nazi output next, but I haven't seen any filters ANYWHERE since Dead City. Am I missing something or do I seriously have to restart the game and buy more filters at the very beginning?
As I said, lack of decent save game system can pretty much screw up things. For example, at the end of Child level I though I could buy some rifle, experiment (since how else would I know is it good or not?!?), and go back to previous checkpoint (thinking that end of Child level was separate part as in previous settlements. Boy I was wrong. I needed to replay whole Child second in order to cancel my bad purchase. If this was normal game with saves, I would save before purchase.
P.S.
There is a mask, at the begging of Outpost second, at the right.
Hmmmz, at the beginning of output I run out of a tunnel into a big open icy area, I don't see any filters anywhere. And I've only got about 10-15 seconds to walk around until I drop dead. Anyone got a save at or after the Outpost? lol
I think there is mask, right, at the start of that level. Not sure if there are any filters. But I found a few filters later, after you climb up to the top, from the area when those nazi guards are staying (there will be room somewhere nearby). Although that's a bit to late.
FOR THOSE THAT NEED TO KNOW HOW TO HAVE TWO ENDINGS READ ON
it the Child chapter :
accept the ammo = you can pick a ending good or bad
Spoiler:
Good = extra ammo gives you a extra bullet to shoot down your laser guided nuclear strike saving your home station and making peace with the dark ones
BAd= Kill that motherfucker on the ground with your last bullet , nukes kill all dark ones but also destroy your station you wanted to save from the start

there are no such endings.. stop spouting nonsense.. typing in caps wont make it real..
i took ammo.. i got supposedly good ending..
Spoiler:
making peace with dark ones? shooting down nuke with bullets? by the end of the game you have 500 bullets ( money type ones ) alone.. you get like 400 just on last mission.. not that you use any of them.. lmao , in my ending.. nukes 3 of them wiped out dark ones.. and everyone was happy.. war was won , only fucker? you can shoot down on the ground to effect the game.. is some guy lying in those dreaming tunnels.. but you got no ammo at that point , when you get revolver to kill dark one in your dreams.. you win the game, there is no shooting at nukes.. there is no shooting at guidance system.. lmao its there to guide missiles. i know there are 2 endings.. but they cant be achieved ways ur describing

filters are small.. and maybe hard to see.. there are always filters to buy.. in same spot as knifes medkits and bombs ... only filter i bought in game was in the start when npc game the that kinda mission.. by the end of the game i had atleast 15 ... never went below 10.. and had up to 30 at a times..

Hmmz, I didnt buy any filters at the beginning of the game which might be my problem. The only time I seem to have gotten filters was at Dead City when I was with Bourbon. To be honest I haven't seen any filters in this game, I don't even know what they look like???
And the merchants before you leave for the Outpost only sell guns, scopes, knives, grenades, bullets, and first aid kits. Filters are not available alas.

There are filters everywhere, and they're cheap as well if you buy from vendors in the stations.
I don't think that a good ending narrows down to that simple section with the ammo. In fact, I don't think obtaining the good ending depends even on doing only the "good" stuff, such as giving bullets to beggars. I think that it also depends on exploration and on many other things as well.
Spoiler:
You see, at the beginning of the game and onward, I noticed that the screen would flash a bit and this weird sound would play whenever I would, for example, give bullets to the beggars or do something good. Afterwards, this thing would happen on all sorts of occasions, such as finding a hidden cache during the chapter 2, saving the Commie prisoners from the Nazis in the third , transmitting the message from the Hole station sneaking past all the Nazis without killing any of them in the Black Station or talking to Khan extensively in the Church. My belief is that this "sound" may stand for the player getting "enlightened" - due to the fact that you will hear A LOT of such sounds while traveling with Khan, and that he talks a lot about you getting to "know" things before judging them, whereas knowing things does not just consist of you being goody-two-shoes. As I see it, the more enlightened the player is, the bigger the chance is that, in the ending section, you will actually get to choose between the good and the bad endings.
Based on that video the ending is simply decided on what you shoot at, though I haven't reached it yet so I can't say for sure if it's that simple.
(Jelly monster things are currently hindering progress a bit.)
