I actually want this game more than Modern Warfare 2 and any other game that's coming out lol. Splinter Cell was the reason I purchased my xbox360 but I was kind of disappointed with Double Agent after playing Chaos Theory. The reason could have been that DA was developed by Ubisoft Shanghai instead of Montreal. Although it wasn't a bad game, it definitely wasn't as amazing as Chaos Theory. It fell way short of my expectations. But Conviction looks simply amazing and its being developed by Ubisoft Montreal so Im feeling supersuper confident about this one!!!
But Im very upset about the delay. I thought I would be playing Conviction during summer

Yeah, we've been waiting for Conviction ever since way back, in November 07, the original release date. Then it was still the homeless-looking Sam, but still looked good (it looked very much like a Splinter Creed: Assassin's Cell, but still cool). Then the countless delays ensues, but I must admit, the current version looks much more interesting than the old one, so at least they listened to the fans and made it better in the long delay time.
About Double Agent, it is such a shame it was given to Shanghai instead of Montreal. Montreal did the old generation versions, which were much much better than the regular Double Agent.

i dunno. Im not sure what I think about "tagging" people and letting the computer auto shoot / kill them. Kinda takes the fun out of aiming / doing it yourself, no?

Its an option but not neccesary i think it gives a tactical advantage wich i like a lot.

so i finished the demo and i loved every bit of it. I m glad the 360 version wont have the same silly DRM as the PC version, i blame pc users

yes i played chaos theory but only the demo, not the full game (was too lazy to handle starforce back then) and yes i liked the DEMO of chaos theory, but i thought SC5 was more fresh

I played the demo and i dont neccesarily dislike it but i miss the good old stealthy splinter cell, and the ai is just plain stupid, they only stand and stare like some fucking idiots to your last known position so you can do about anything and kill them oh and i think the graphics are not that good either but the art design of projecting images on the wall and showing objectives i do like a lot.

Thought the demo was thoroughly enjoyable, except you should only play it on hard mode, as it makes the AI react far more realistically and the damage such that you have to play in a 50% approximation to the previous splinter cells.
There is a greater action orientation with the 'mark and execute' mechanic, but you don't have to use it if you choose not to. It'll be extremely difficult then though since many areas have multiple enemies who constant keep each other in line of sight.
