Rimelands: Hammer Of Thor

Quote:

The game features both random generated and pre-designed levels, latter of which will also include some light puzzle elements. There won’t be too many mazes, but people wanting to search any nook and cranny will find their efforts rewarded by additional treasures.

The main plot in the game will be linear and there won’t be any dialogue trees, but additional side quests will be there. We’re taking care not to drown anyone in the dialogue, so all the conversations in the game game will be pretty short. We’re also planning (skippable) cut-scenes in between the levels to carry out the story, but we can’t yet tell how they will be handled.

The mood of the story will be light, adventurous and slightly humorous, but with some more epic and serious undertones.

It´s a nice looking game.

Will keep an eye on this one.

Physical controls are irreplaceable, but there are a lot of games that work great with virtual controls.

Some even better, like plants vs zombies.

First thing is to add this repository to cydia:

http://repo.beyouriphone.com

Then download and install APPSync 3.1.

After that you only need to download the ipa files and copy them to itunes, sync and you´re done.

You can also install apps via the iphone, just download install0us in cydia and follow the steps.

Yup! Bought an 8GB iTouch two weeks ago. Obviously wanted the 3rd Gen model, with the A8 CPU and PVR SGX, but those only come on the 32GB+ models... and FUCK THAT PRICE Laughing Got my 8GB 2nd Gen for £115, the 32GB 3rd Gen is £230 >_<

Still, I love my 2G. Everything runs great (except the new UE3 tech demo, boo!) and it's already FULL of games, lol.

I really don't understand the "solo" and "pair" battle mechanic.

Fighting in pair never seems to give any advantage...? I can attack once for twice as much damage, or just attack once each and get the same result, except in solo mode, I don't take double the damage...?

Am I missing something?

Usually atacking in pair gives you more chances of doing the total damage.

Sometimes when attacking in solo mode, one attack works and the other gets defended.

But yeah, I understand what you´re saying!

It´s not really an advantage to do a pair attack comparing to the same attack in solo.

Looks like it could be a great game, though performance is a bit sketchy on non-3GS/3rdGen hardware and it's practically a slide-show if you enable "High End Effects" Fun game though!

so back on this game, anyone have a good idea how the dice mechanics work. So far it's an awesome game but the dice confuse me a bit when it comes to the big grey X and the shield.

Well the dice are random, but ideally you want to have more skulls (attack dice) rolled than your opponent has shields (defence dice) rolled. Blank X dice mean nothing and blue dice are for magic. I can't quite remember what ranged dice are.

Whenever you get into combat, the computer will automatically roll the dice you have and then roll the dice for your opponent too. It's completely random so you have no control over it, though you can increase your total die count when you level up, so you have more chance to dealing and defending damage.
