1. Run the razor1911_installgame.exe file
2. "SimPack.exe has stopped responding"
3. FAIL

Dunno, it just feels weird... a shotgun cartridge at point blank should get some kind of phisical reaction other than a squirt of blood imho...

Actually stopping power depends not only on caliber, but on speed and ammo type (in real life that is). That's why you get stuff like hollow points... that thing will slow you down.
But as far as shooting in the game goes, yeah, as I said before, the way the fights with mutants play out doesn't work very well with the shooting mechanic. I am early in the game though, may be with better weapons/ammo it will feel different. But for now it's too generic.

Ok, umm...the installer seemed to go fine. But when I try to run the game, I get...
"This application has failed to start because X3DAudio1_7.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem"
What do I do now?

Install dx11, its where you installed the game, in the 'instal' folder. I also had to install new drivers for gf card.
Game is working great on high, pretty nice atmosphere, bit more linear then i expected but seems the story is very good.

I would re-install first, and then tried switching off sound acceleration in dxdiag. Sometimes it works if audio crap occurs on different occasions.
THAT and DX-related apps are a must too. C++ etc.

This game has some serious issues, some parts are simply impossible on hard with your shitty weaponry. For example when get seperated from bourbon, after the playground you get a wave of 5 of those shitty weak things, but because of one coming from behind, you die. This isnt a good AI, this is simply scripting deaths which sucks dick tbh. Also horribly optimized, for people crashing while watching the first video, its your physx shit, I completely wiped the hd and registry of physx then reinstalled which fixed it for me. They say this is HL2/Stalker, but I'd take either over this, the story is REALLY good though, it had me hooked pretty quick.

You need to install DX9 to get rid of this audio dll error. Had the same issue. There's a setup file in the Install/DirectX directory.

Hmmz I got the Skidrow version running... I have a Q6600 w 6GB of RAM and n 8800GTS. The game will be running liquid smooth, then start jerking at like 2-3fps for no reason... renders the game almost totally unplayable.
Plus, what is with the fov, I feel like I have a magnifying glass surgically attached to my retina.

I got no problems with razor release and on high settings in dx9 mode it runs really well on my 8800gt and it looks very satisfying.
Like most of you mentioned shooting is a bit off but it's far better than in any stalker game.
I'm not a big fan of FPSes but after playing this a bit I think it's one of the best games of this type - great atmosphere, gfx and story.
I'm happy to have this to play while waiting for AC2 release.
FOV is not that bad comparing to BS2 or BC2 which was really horrible in those two.

I agree, Game Run Flawlessly for me, very straighforward.
1.Burn the iso
2.Ran the RazorInstaller and select each .sid file
3.Copy the ENTIRE Razor directory to the Metro 2033 installed directory.
4.Game is running flawlessly,no problem at all.
Theres some Frame skip in the cinematics but apart from that...

Can anyone help with my problem....
I had the audio.dll issue...found a link for the file and installed to my windows/sys 32 file.
Ok...then I ran the game again...this time an error about my NVIDIA driver no being up to date.
So...went to NVIDIA...d/l and installed new driver for my x295 card. Restarted cpu...and...same error. NVIDIA driver not updated...yada yada.
Any ideas?

Where did you disable physx? Or you mean turn off GPU PhysX acceleration?
Intel Core i7 6700K @ 4.6 GHz | Asus Z170 Pro Gaming | Corsair Vengenace LPX 16GB DDR4 3200 MHz | MSI GeForce GTX 1080 FE | Samsung 850 EVO 500 GB + 250 GB | EVGA SuperNOVA 750 G2 | Fractal Design Define R5 | Noctua NH-D14

I disabled the advanced physx in the Options -> Game options and I had quite a boost. I tested it very briefly but now it looks like that it's very playable even on Very High.
